A comedian, actor, host, and social media star, Trevor Kirman Kirkland known simply under his stage name TK Kirkland, was born under the zodiac sign of Taurus on 3 April 1961, in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA; he holds American nationality and his ethnicity is African-American.

Early life and education
Although he was born in Jersey City, TK Kirkland was raised in Compton, California, by his parents Ann and James, about whom little is known. Many of his fans believed that he is an only child because he hasn’t spoken about having any siblings, however, in one of his interviews, he spoke about his younger brother who unfortunately died from an aneurysm, and for VLADTV, he also shared with his fans how his brother’s death affected him.
Speaking of his educational background, he attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1979, enrolled at the University of Arizona, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, in 1982, and then continued his education attending California State-Northridge University and earned his Master’s degree in speech communications.
Acting career
During his college days, TK began performing in comedic skits and plays, and then in 1995, he made his acting debut portraying House Rules in the crime drama “New Jersey Drive”, followed by his role as Rodney in the 1997 movie “Strays”, also starring Vin Diesel and Joey Dedio, which was also written and directed by Vin Diesel; the movie was nominated for the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize – Dramatic.
Two years later, he starred as himself in the musical comedy drama “Rising to the Top”, while in the following year, TK Kirkland was cast to play Lieutenant Gaspard in “Baller Blockin’“, followed by his role as Forty in the 2001 movie “Tara”.
His next notable role came five years later, when he portrayed Liquor Store Clerk in “The Champagne Gang“, followed by his role in the 2007 movie “Comedy After Dark“, and then in 2012, he was cast to play Joey in “Birds of a Feather”, while his most recent role was in the movie “Good Brutha Bad Brutha” in 2013.
Career as a stand-up comedian
TK Kirkland began his career as a stand-up comedian back in the late ’80s, touring with the American hip hop group Nigazz Wit Attitudes (NWA) from Compton, and since then he’s been known as the ‘Gangsta of Comedy’, and has shared the stage with famous rappers such as the late XXXTentacion, also Eminem, Lil Wayne and Jay Z, among others.
His first stand-up routine which became popular was his 2008 show “Are There Any Questions?”, co-written with Bobby Mardis, while TK gained international recognition with his second show.
Although a comedian, he’s not as ordinary as most of his colleagues, but an underground comedic legend who brought the laughs with the one-night-only special “Who Raised You“, which became some kind of brand.

There have been various rumors both concerning TK Kirkland’s love life and his sexual orientation, however, he hasn’t spoken about any woman (or man) whom he has been with before he met his future wife. However, he is married to Tamara, about whom little is known. She has no social media accounts, at least not under her name, and there is little known about their relationship, such as when and where the two met, and how their love story began.
