Early life and education
Teesha was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by her parents, however, she hasn’t shared any information regarding their names and occupations, nor spoken about her siblings, but she posted a photo of her brother and sister with a hashtag #nationalsiblingday, and once stated that she’s the middle child.
From the early age of eight, Teesha started acting in theatre, and was soon awarded Miss Drama Club for her performance as Mrs Stevenson in the school play “Sorry, Wrong Number” by Lucille Fletcher.
Teesha was also a member of the video production club in high school, and the movie that she directed, produced and starred in won first place at the technology fair, and she won the school’s award for Best Actress and Best Movie of the Year.
She attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2013, Teesha enrolled at Georgia State University, from which she graduated with a BA degree in 2017.
While she was at college, Teesha has been crowned Miss Georgia State University 2015 and competed in the Miss Georgia Pageant.
After her graduation, Teesha took classes at The Alliance Theatre, where she studied script analysis, scene, film, and acting, and then continued her education at the Professional Actor’s Studio, with acting coach Nick Conti.
Roles in movies
Teesha made her first movie appearance playing a minor role as Girl 2 in “Dating Is F*UCked Up” in 2017, and then she was seen as Ebony Tyler in “Diva, Interrupted” before she portrayed Sharon in “My Next Sweet Day”, a 2018 romantic drama written and directed by Alton Claude,.
In the same year, Teesha was cast to play Brooklynn Josephs in the TV movie “Discovering Brooklynn”, also starring Destiny Thompson and Marquis Antonio, followed by her role in the short movie “L.U.S.T (Loved Used as Sex Tool)” before she portrayed Beth in “Yes, God, Yes”, a comedy drama written and directed by Karen Maine, which won the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival Audience Award Best Narrative Feature in 2019.
In the following year, Teesha was seen as Detective Moore in the drama “Power Corrupts”, which was her most recent movie role, and since Teesha stated that this is only the beginning for her, and added that even the sky isn’t her limit, her fans are hoping that they will see her again soon on the big screen.

Making her acting debut in an episode of the series “The Game” in 2012, Teesha decided that nothing would stop her in an intention to become an actress, and although she waited for six years for another television role, after her appearance in “Homicide Hunter” in 2018, she had a guest role as Jessica Bradley in “Fatal Attraction”, a documentary crime drama which was broadcast on the TV One cable channel.
After this role, Teesha was cast to play her breakthrough role as Sharon Welles in “The Oval”, a political drama created by Tyler Perry, which follows the story about the lives of the newly-elected US President and his family, power, revenge, and secrets in the White House. “The Oval” started airing in 2019, and the fourth season of the series is currently being shown.
In the 2019 science-fiction action drama “Black Lighting”, Teesha was seen as Destiny, alongside Christine Adams, Nafessa Williams, and Cress Williams; the series had 17 award nominations, and won the Black Reel Award for Television Outstanding Drama Series.

There were various rumors concerning Teesha’s love life, however, as she prefers to keep her personal life a secret, she hasn’t spoken about her relationships.
Some rumors were saying that she is dating one of her fellows from “The Oval”, at first that she’s seeing Vaughn W. Hebron who portrays Barry Hallsen in the series, however, it was the on-screen match-up, and people assumed that they are a couple in a real-life after they have been seen together at the red-carpet event held in Atlanta. The two denied these assumptions, saying that they are just working together.
When Teesha posted photos featuring herself and two of her fellows from the series, Matthew Law and Daniel Croix, with the description saying that they are friends in real life, she denied all the assumptions about her being in a relationship with one of them.
