Who is Christopher Russell?

Canadian actor Cristopher Russell was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 8 January 1983, making his zodiac sign Capricorn. He’s had roles in over 70 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for his playing of Barrett in the 2005 science fiction horror movie “Land of the Dead”, written and directed by George A. Romero, and which starred John Leguizamo, Asia Argento and Simon Baker. It follows the last humans who are hiding from the living dead, in a walled city, and the movie won two of its 19 award nominations.

Education and early life

Christopher was raised by his British parents in Toronto, but being as secretive as he is, he doesn’t speak about them in public; it’s believed that his father opened his own fishing equipment store in Toronto upon moving there, and that his mother’s a housewife. He hasn’t spoken of having siblings, but most of Christopher’s fans believe that he was raised alongside his sister.

Christopher’s stated that he was three years old when he knew that he wanted to become an actor, and was 10 when he finally convinced his parents to start taking him to auditions; he launched his career aged 12, when cast to play Pruitt in the 1995 horror thriller movie “The Whispering”, however, Christopher then chose to focus on his education, so didn’t have any roles in the following nine years.

In 2008, Christopher portrayed Sal in the popular romantic musical drama “Center Stage: Turn It Up”, directed by Steven Jacobson, and which starred Kenny Wormald, Rachele Brooke Smith and Sarah Jayne Jensen; it follows a dancer from Detroit, Michigan as she’s auditioning for a New York City’s ballet academy. Christopher appeared in only one other movie in the decade: the 2008 crime thriller “The Boy Next Door”.

In 2013, he was cast to play Troy Garnet in the romantic comedy “The Right Kind of Wrong”, which Jeremiah S. Chechik directed, and which starred Ryan Kwanten, Kristen Hager and Maria Menounos. He portrayed Jeremy Hoffbrauer in the popular 2015 romantic drama “Love, Again”, and could then have been seen playing the supporting character James in the 2016 romantic comedy “Wedding Bells”, directed by Gary Yates, and which starred Danica McKellar, Kavan Smith and Tammy Gillis; it tells the story of the maid of honor and the best man who’ve fallen in love.

Christopher’s three most recent film roles have been in the romantic drama “The Shell Collector”, and the romantic comedies “Love on Fire” and “Yellowstone Romance”, all released in 2022.

She gave birth to their daughter on 28 April 2013, and to their son on 23 October 2015; the children have been featured in many of Christopher’s Instagram pictures, but their names haven’t been disclosed.
