Anthony ‘Tony’ McGill was born in Ireland, in 1976 – he hasn’t revealed his exact date of birth, but his zodiac sign is believed to be Capricorn, and he holds Irish nationality. He’s a music producer, composer and businessman, while he’s perhaps known best for being the husband of Caitriona Balfe, a famous Irish actress and former model.

Early life and education

Tony was raised in Ireland by his parents, about whom not a lot is known as he respects their privacy; it’s believed that his father also worked in the music industry, and that his mother was a theatre actress. Because he hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, most people believe Tony to be an only child.

He became interested in music during his teenage years, although he was into a couple of other activities as well, including playing various sports with his peers, excelling at soccer, and dancing and acting. Tony matriculated from a local high school in 1994, and because he hasn’t spoken of his further education, it’s believed that he hasn’t attended college; he moved to London, England in 1995, wanting to pursue a career in the music industry.

Caitriona Mary Balfe was born in Dublin, Ireland on 4 October 1979 – her zodiac sign’s Libra, and she holds Irish nationality. She’s appeared in close to 20 movies and TV series, and is probably known best for her portrayal of Ma, one of the main characters in the critically acclaimed 2021 biographical movie “Belfast”, written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, and which also starred Jude Hill and Lewis McAskie. It follows a young boy and his family as they’re living in Belfast in the second half of the ‘60s; the movie won 53 awards, including an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, while it was nominated for 237 other awards.

Caitriona was raised in Tydavnet, Ireland alongside her four siblings, by their father who’s a former Garda Sergeant, and their mother who’s a housewife.

Caitriona grew up being interested in acting, and appeared in numerous plays performed at her high school. She matriculated in 1998, and then went on to study drama at Dublin Institute of Technology, however, she was spotted by a modelling scout and launched her modelling career, thus choosing to leave acting aside.

She went on to work for Ford Models in Paris, France, while she could then have been seen on the catwalk for designers Dolce & Gabbana, Alberta Ferretti and Louis Vuitton, amongst many others. She launched her acting career in 2011, when cast to play Elizabeth Lamb in the hit action science fiction mystery movie “Super 8”, written and directed by J. J. It follows a group of friends who witnessed a train crash in 1979, while many strange events then began taking place in their town; the film won 11 of the 81 awards for which it was nominated.

A couple of Caitriona’s following roles were in the 2011 short romantic movie “Lust Life”, the 2012 short comedy film “The Wolf”, and five episodes of the 2012 romantic comedy mini-series “The Beauty Inside” (lead role).

In 2013, she played Jasmine Tressler in the critically acclaimed mystery thriller movie “Now You See Me”, directed by Louis Leterrier, and which starred Jesse Eisenberg, Common and Mark Ruffalo. It follows an Interpol detective and an FBI agent as they’re trying to catch a group of illusionists who rob banks during their performances; the movie won one of the four awards for which it was nominated. In the same year, Caitriona appeared in the hit action thriller movie “Escape Plan”, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, 50 Cent and Sylvester Stallone, and was nominated for two awards.

Three of her most recent roles have been in the 2019 short animated family movie “The Christmas Letter” (voice role), the 2020 animated adventure comedy “Angela’s Christmas Wish” (voice role), and 75 episodes of the romantic fantasy series “Outlander” since 2014.

Caitriona’s won 17 of the 61 awards for which she’s been nominated, including a 2022 BAFTA Film Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, for her performance in “Belfast”.
