Early life and education

Alex Tarrant was born under the zodiac sign of Tauru, on 1 May 1990, in Raglan, New Zealand – his nationality is New Zealander, and he comes from a family of Niuenan, Samoan and Maori descent.

He was raised in Raglan by his parents, about whom little is known since he respects their privacy, and he also hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, thus it’s assumed that he was raised an only child. Alex had an interest in performing from an early age, and dreamed of becoming a famous actor. Alex made his acting debut portraying Jake in an episode of the series “Nothing Trivial” in 2014, followed by his role as Maui Vaipiti in the TV mini-series “Tatau” in 2015, and was next seen starring as Ike in the series “800 Words”, which was broadcast until 2018. After playing Ike, Alex was cast to play Lincoln Kimiora in “Shortland Street”, and then in the following year, he portrayed Zac Bell in the Australian series “Sea Change”, followed by his guest role as Joe in “Head High” in 2020, before in the same year being cast to play the recurring role of Constable Chris in the NZ series “Mean Mums”.

In 2021, Alex portrayed Arsenio ‘Joe’ Tierney in the series “Vegas”, before he was cast to play his most notable role to date, as Kai Holman in the series “NCIS: Hawaii”, also starring Noah Mills and Vanessa Lachey; this was Alex’s first role in a series the country of origin being the US. Fans of this actor will be happy to hear that he will be seen in the new Prime Video series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”, which is currently in post-production, and should be released on 2 September 2022. Alex made his movie debut in 2019, portraying Joel in the short film “The Hunt”, and the same year, he was cast to play Toutai Paletu’a in “The Other Side of Heaven 2: Fire of Faith”, a biographic drama, which follows the story of missionary John H. Groberg, written and directed by Mitch Davis. In 2021, Alex was seen as Leo in “Night Raiders”, also starring Brooklyn Letexier-Hart and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers – this science-fiction action thriller had 15 award nominations and eight wins. Love life and marriage

Alex hasn’t been the subject of any rumors or controversies concerning his love life and his sexual orientation; it’s widely known that he’s a married man. His wife is Lucinda ‘Luci’ Hare, a famous New Zealand actress, who is perhaps known best for her role as Vicky in the series “Auckward Love”; she is also a writer and make-up artist. Since they are both secretive when it comes to their private lives, the two haven’t shared many details about their relationship, however, it is known that they met back in 2010, at Toi Whakaari drama school, which they both attended.

Alex proposed to Luci on New Years’ Eve in 2017, and then on 7 February 2018, they welcomed their son named Beaumont, which means ‘beautiful mountain’ in French – Luci said to Woman’s Day magazine that the name for their son came to her in a dream. In the same interview, Luci shared that Alex and she were planning to adopt or foster a child who needs a stable, loving family, adding that she truly believes that one of Alex’s callings is to be a dad. Alex spoke about Luci in his interview for ZM Online, saying: ‘Luci has been amazing. Not only is she an amazing mother to our son, an actor and all-round human, she keeps me on track, helps me with lines and even brings Beau out to set sometimes to visit when I have a long day — I couldn’t do it without her.’

According to Luci’s Instagram, they are celebrating their wedding anniversary on 14 February, however, they haven’t shared the year of their wedding, As of May 2022, it’s known that they are still together, the family of three lives in Auckland, New Zealand, and the fourth member of their family is their dog Winston, since both Luci and Alex are animal lovers, with dogs being their favorite.
