Lanie was raised in Nashville alongside her sister Aleigha and brother Austin, by their mother Ashley Sholar Gardner and their father whose name remains undisclosed; not a lot is known about Lanie’s family as she respects their privacy, while it’s said that her father was a high school teacher, and her mother a nurse.

A singer and actress with over 60 credits to her name, Maribel Guardia rose to prominence after she became Miss Costa Rica in 1978, placed as a top 15 semi-finalist in the Miss World beauty pageant the same year, and also represented her country at the Miss Universe contest, where she was selected as Miss Photogenic.
