Landry is an American actress, perhaps best known to the world as Cleo Bernstein in the TV series “Crash and Bernstein” (2012-2014), and as Rocki in the TV series “Fuller House” (2017-2020), in addition to several other notable roles that she’s secured so far in her career.

Following the cancelation of “The Republic of Sarah” after one season in 2021, in which Landry had the lead role of Bella, she has taken an hiatus from the acting world. She’s finished filming Dillon Tucker’s drama film “Pure O”, in which she will co-star with Hope Lauren and Clint James, about a young writer who is suffering from a lesser-known form of OCD. Landry Elizabeth Bender was born on 3 August 2000, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, the daughter of Trey Bender, a sportscaster, and his wife Amy, who is a sports reporter and producer. She’s named after Tom Landry, the legendary head coach of the Dallas Cowboys American Football team.
When she was just two years old the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Landry began expressing interest in acting at an early age, and began taking acting classes at Desert Stages Theatre when she was just five years old, continuing with classes until eventually making her acting debut in her early teenage years. Landry went to Oak Park Independent School, then after matriculation, didn’t enroll at any college, as she focused on her acting career.
Landry was off to an unsuccessful start, as she appeared in an unsold TV pilot, “Council of Dads” in 2011, which was based on the book by Bruce Feiler, and starred Diane Farr, Griffin Gluck and Richard T. Jones. However, she wasn’t discouraged, as she was chosen the same year for the part of Blithe Pedulla, one of the children in the comedy film “The Sitter”, directed by David Gordon Green, and starring Jonah Hill, Ari Graynor, and Sam Rockwell. Although the film received mixed reviews, Landry received praise for her performance, and continued her career with Disney.
She was cast in the part of Cleo Bernstein in the TV comedy series “Crash & Bernstein”, about a young boy Wyatt Bernstein who grows up with three sisters but wants a brother. His wishes come true when he builds a puppet brother named Crash in the store Build-A-Bestie. The series received positive reviews, and Landry starred in almost every episode between 2012 and 2014.
She continued her career with the role of Nikki in the unpicked 2014 pilot “Fairest of the Mall”, a comedy about a teenage girl who starts working at a clothing store in the local plaza, but then loses the job after she was set up by the resident queen bee. Young Landry secured the lead role of Cyd Ripley in the TV sci-fi comedy series “Best Friends Whenever”. The series follows two teenage girls who start traveling backward and forwards in time in a science experiment gone wrong, co-starring Lauren Taylor, while their teenage genius helper Barry was played by Gus Kamp. She starred in all 31 episodes from 2015 to 2016, before the series was canceled in February 2017, meantime appearing In the role of Cyd, in a cross-over episode in Disney’s series “Liv and Maddie” in 2015.
Then, she jumped into the voice role of Makini, a young mandrill in the animated series “The Lion Guard” (2015-2017), based on “The Lion King” film from 1994, following Prince Kion, the son of King Simba and Queen Nala, and the younger brother of Princess Kiara.
Furthermore, in 2017 she joined the cast of the “Fuller House” TV series, the sequel to the original series “Full House”, which aired from 1987 to 1995. She portrayed the character named Rocki, Gia’s daughter and Jackson’s love interest, appearing in 16 episodes from 2017 to 2020.

Next, in 2019 she was selected for the part of Sara Bankhead Harbert in the TV romantic-drama mini-series “Looking for Alaska”, based on the novel of the same name by John Green, and starring Charlie Plummer and Kristine Forseth. The series received high praise, and Landry was praised for her portrayal of the main character’s girlfriend, and later ex-girlfriend.
Most recently, Landry portrayed Bella Whitmore, one of the lead roles in the short-lived TV drama series “The Republic of Sarah”, which follows rebellious high school teacher Sarah Cooper who tries everything to stop a greedy mining company from destroying the town in which she lives. She eventually finds an obscure cartographical loophole to declare independence. Landry’s character, Bella, is one of Sarah’s students and one of her supporters, despite being the town mayor’s daughter and him disapproving of her choice. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after one season.
