If you were a fan of the television series “Banshee”, which was broadcast on Cinemax from 2013 until 2016, you are certainly familiar with the character of Rebecca Bowman, a former local Amish girl who by day lives her devout life, and at night she becomes a rebellious, party girl. However, if you ever wanted to know more about the actress who portrayed this character, let us tell you some interesting facts about Lili Marie Simmons. Lili is a model, and an actress with 25 acting credits to her name, and besides the mentioned role, is perhaps known best for her role as Claudia ‘Claud’ Flynn in the series “Power Book IV: Force”, also starring Shane Harper, Isaac Keys and Joseph Sikora, which is currently airing on Starz.

Early life and education

Lili was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on 23 July 1993, in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, San Diego County, California USA; she holds American nationality, and her ethnicity is of mixed English, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish descent. She was raised in Cardiff-by-the-Sea by her parents, Eve Marie and Thomas Curtis Simmons, alongside her brother Kyle, about whom little is known. Lili had an interest in performing from an early age, and she dreamed of becoming an actress, so as a child she did a lot of community theater, thus at the age of 15, she was discovered by talent manager Kate Linden.

She began working as a model for the Ford Modeling Agency in New York City, and soon became the Face of Bebe Stores, a women’s retail brand, and was also a Face of Roxy, one of the world’s largest brands of surf wear, as well as modeling for J. C. Penney and Saturn. Concurrently with appearing in “Banshee”, Lili had a recurring role as Melissa Armstrong in “Hawaii Five-O” from 2014 until 2017, and later that year was next seen starring as Natalie James in “Ray Donovan”, co-starring Live Schreiber, Dash Mihok and Eddie Marsan. In the following year, Lili portrayed Lila Stanton in the series “The Purge”, followed by her role as Catwoman in “Gotham” in 2019, before most recently being cast to play Claudia ‘Claud’ Flynn in “Power Book IV: Force” in 2022.

Lili made her big-screen debut portraying Lola in the 2011 movie “Geek Charming”, also starring Sarah Hyland, Matt Prokop and Sasha Pieterse, followed in 2015 by her role as Samantha in the horror western drama “Bone Tomahawk”, starring Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox and Patrick Wilson, which had 20 award nominations, and won nine.
