The Critics’ Choice TV Award-winning American author and actress Eden Sher, is perhaps best known for playing Sue Heck in the ABC sitcom “The Middle.”
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Eden Rebecca Sher is a native of Los Angeles, California, who was born under the Capricorn zodiac sign on 26 December 1991, making her 31 years old as of 2022. She hasn’t disclosed the name of her Jewish single mother who was a school teacher, and raised her alongside her two brothers, Ben and Cosmo Sher all by herself; it’s widely believed that her father abandoned her family when she was two years old. In her spare time, she likes watching films starring her best-loved actor Robin Williams, such as “Good Will Hunting” and “Patch Adams.” She is also a big fan of Melissa McCarthy and her
films “Tammy” and “Brides Maids.”
Career Beginnings and Film Appearances
Before she launched her acting career officially, Sher appeared in several commercials for Fruity Pebbles, Walt Disney, and Capital One. She made her film debut in 2001 aged nine, with her portrayal of Caterpillar Girl in the short, “Struck.” She appeared in several TV series before playing Penny in the Kristen Bell-starred mystery comedy-drama “Veronica Mars” in 2014. Her following roles were in “Temps” in 2016, and “The Outcast” in 2017 starring alongside Victoria Justice and Ashley Rickards in the latter. Eden later starred as Beth alongside Megalyn Echikunwoke and Lyndon Smith in the dance comedy, “Step Sisters” in 2018.
TV Appearances and Other Works
The Californian actress made her TV debut in 2006, as Gretchen in the hit Primetime Award-winning drama “Weeds,” which aired on SHOWTIME for eight seasons from 2005 to 2012. The show was created by Jenji Kohan, and starred Mary-Louise Parker, Andy Miller and Alexander Gould. Thereafter, she was cast as Carrie Fenton in 11 episodes of “Sons & Daughters” in 2006, and before the decade ended, she appeared in five more shows – her two most notable roles were in the Fox Network’s teen drama “The O.C.”, and the ABC sitcom “The Middle”, appearing in 215 episodes of the latter from 2009-2018, sharing the screen with Atticus Shaffer, Charlie McDermott and Patricia Heaton in the acclaimed show.
2014 saw Sher writing, producing, and directing the short comedy film “The Suitcase”. From 2015 to 2019, Sher lent her voice to Daron Nefcy’s animated series “Star vs the Forces of Evil” and she recently played PJ Fields in five episodes of The CW romantic comedy “Jane the Virgin.” In 2016, she produced another film entitled “ImagiGARY.”

Sher is a married woman – in 2015, she began dating the Primetime Emmy Award-winning screenwriter Nick Cron-DeVico, who is famous for his works as the writer of the Adult Swim TV series “Robot Chicken” and the acclaimed animated TV series “Clarence”. The duo met on the set of the TV show “Robot Chicken”, and began dating shortly afterwards. They became engaged in March 2019, and eventually walked the aisle in July 2020, their wedding attended only by closest friends and family, and was officiated by their friend, Ally Conover. The newlyweds shared their wedding photos on Instagram, notifying their fans about their union. Sher announced that she was pregnant in June 2021 and gave birth to twins, whose names aren’t yet known.
