A singer-songwriter, Maria Guadalupe Araujo Yong is better known by her stage name Ana Gabriel; she was born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 10 December 1955, in Guamuchil, Sinaloa Mexico; she holds Mexican nationality, and her ethnicity is Latino.

Early life, family, and education
Ana was raised in the small town of Guamuchil by her parents, and developed an interest in music from an early age. Her family encouraged her singing and musical ability, and she made her stage debut when she was just six years old, performing the song “Regalo A Dios” by Jose Alfredo Jimenez, and the audience was thrilled by her voice.
While growing up, Anna dreamed of becoming a famous singer, however, upon matriculating from high school in 1973, she moved to Tijuana, Baja California, and enrolled at CETYS University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1977.

In 1987, Ana won third place at the OTI Festival, in Lisbon Portugal, performing the song “Ay Amor”, with an orchestral version of the pop-power ballad song “Búscame,” composed in conjunction with Tony Flores. Then in the following year, she released her debut album “Tierra de Nadie”, and during her career, has now released 28 studio albums, 19 compilation albums, and three live albums, selling over 40 million albums worldwide.

Ana has also had 29 nominations for Lo Nuestro Awards, which are awarded annually by the television network Univision in the USA, and won 13, including the Excellence Award in 2006.
In the opinion of her fans and critics, Ana has secured her place as one of the best Mexican singers thanks to her inner-and-out beauty, passion, and charisma, so it isn’t surprising that she was honored with a star on the Walk of Fame, in a ceremony held on 3 November 2021, the 2,707th star on Hollywood Boulevard in front of Ballet Hollywood 6623. Afterwards Ana said in her interview: ‘Many years ago, my parents and I were walking along this boulevard and we were fascinated looking (at) the names on the stars, I (felt) something in my chest, in my heart, and I said, ‘Mom, one day, I don’t know when, but one day my name will be here.’
Ana also has four acting credits to her name – she made her acting debut as Dahlia in the 1995 movie “The Nature of the Beast”, and then guest-starred in the series “Caroline in the City” in 1998. In the following year, she was seen as a Reporter in “The Deep End of the Ocean”, and her most recent role has been her portrayal of Ms. Ramirez in “Ned and Stacey” in 2017.
