Allison is an award-winning American actress, perhaps best known to the world as Claudia Donovan in the TV series “Warehouse 13” (2009-2014), and as Camille Engelson in the TV series “Stitchers” (2015-2017), in addition to other roles that she’s had so far.

In recent years, Allison has been more focused on her rising music career but has still made a few on-screen appearances this year. Most recently, she was seen playing Aria Lansing in one episode of the new TV action crime-drama series “The Rookie: Feds” (2022), about a Special Agent Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy, who has been assigned to support the LA field office, starring Niecy Nash, Britt Robertson and James Lesure, created by Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter.

However, she seems more focused on her music career, and is currently touring the USA.

Allison Glenn Scagliotti was born on 21 September 1990, in Monterey, California, USA. Of Italian ancestry, her great-grandparents immigrated to the US from Italy through Ellis Island.

She hasn’t revealed her parents’ names and whether she has siblings or not, but her cousins are Kevin Pfeiffer, the lead singer of the band Five Minutes to Freedom, and the National Wakeboard Champion, Alex Scagliotti. The family moved to Louisiana when she was a child, and at just five years old, she joined the talent and drama program at Tchefuncte Middle School she attended.

From 11 years old onwards she was homeschooled, when she also moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career.

She later attended New York University, where she studied film, but never obtained her bachelor’s degree. Nevertheless, she enrolled in Berklee College of Music’s online program, from which she received a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies.

Career Beginnings 

At 12 years old, she made her debut with Chevy Chase in the television movie “America’s Most Terrible Things”. In 2003 she was Rose Wingfield in the television movie “Once Around the Park”, while in 2004, she appeared in two episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated comedy series “Grounded for Life”, starring Donal Logue, Megyn Price and Kevin Corrigan. Moreover, she appeared in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated television drama movie “Back When We Were Grownups”, based on Anne Tyler’s novel about a single mother, Rebecca, and the adventures she has with her children and grandchildren, directed by Ron Underwood, and starring Blythe Danner, Faye Dunaway and Peter Fonda.

The same year she was chosen for the part of Mindy Crenshaw in the critically-acclaimed series “Drake & Josh” and appeared in seven episodes through 2007.

In 2006, she was Sawyer in the comedy film “Read it and Weep”, about a high school student who develops an alter ego that will change her life for good, with Kay Panabaker, Danielle Panabaker and Alexandra Krosney in the lead roles.

The following year, she starred in the short drama film “Redemption Maddie”, about a young girl who tries to redeem herself after a personal tragedy.

Rise to Prominence

Slowly, Allison steadily improved as an actress, and started getting more popular roles. She was Iris in the comedy film “Endless Bummer” in 2009, and the same year was chosen for the part of Claudia Donovan in the sci-fi TV series “Warehouse 13”. The series follows two Secret Service agents who are deployed to South Dakota and the Warehouse 13 with a new assignment. Introduced as a guest character, she is a hacker and inventor who as the show progresses becomes a regular character, receiving a major story arc, and she eventually became the new caretaker of Warehouse 13.

She appeared in all but four episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series, and even made a crossover appearance in the sister show “Eureka” in 2010.

Furthermore, Allison featured in the special edition web series “Warehouse 13: Grand Designs” in 2012. She received high praise for her work on the series and emerged as a rising television and film star.

While in the show, she found time to work on other projects. She starred in the comedy film “Losers Take All” (2011) alongside Kyle Gallner and Tania Raymonde, while in 2013, she produced and starred in the horror-comedy film “Chastity Bites”.

Then in 2015, she secured another major television role. This time, she was chosen for the part of Camille Engelson in the TV sci-fi crime-drama series “Stitchers”, about a young woman who is recruited into a secret government agency, and is stitched into the minds of deceased people to start using their memories to uncover murderers behind their deaths.

The series starred Emma Ishta, Kyle Harries and Ritesh Rajan, alongside Allison and others, who all appeared in every episode of the critically acclaimed series.

In 2016, she played Georgie Dowling in four episodes of “The Vampire Diaries” last season, and continued her acting career with a string of roles in short films, such as “Little Gold Star”, “The Cards”, and “Truly Outrageous”, all in 2018.

Music Career

Additional to acting, Allison is a singer and guitar player. She was in the band called Nice Enough People with Jerry Trainor, her “Drake and Josh” co-star. Her first solo release was the EPreleased in 2019 under the pseudonym “La Femme Pendu”. Her debut full-length album, “Absolute Horror” came out on 1 May 2020. Since then, she’s released another studio album, “VAMPYR” on 22 October 2021.

Some reports state that she dated Josh Peck from 2006 to 2007.
