Early life and education

Robert was raised in Los Angeles alongside his siblings Allie, Nick and Tim Meegan, Erick and Christopher Oliveri, by their mother Pattie Meegan, and their father about whom nothing’s known, apparently because Robert respects his privacy.

He became interested in acting at the age of five, mostly because he was used to watching movies and TV series with his family nearly every day. His parents soon began taking him to auditions, and he was nine when he made his debut TV series appearance, with his portrayal of Paul Bard in the 1987 episode “Supermom’s Daughter” of the adventure comedy “ABC Afterschool Specials”.

Robert studied at a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1996 enrolled at Oglethorpe University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2000.

Roles in TV series

In 1989, Robert played Mike Carlson in the episode “The Playhouse” of the hit mystery fantasy horror “Friday the 13th: The Series”, created by Frank Mancuso Jr. and Larry B. Williams, and which starred Louise Robey, Chris Wiggins and John D. LeMay. It follows two owners of antique stores who have to retrieve cursed antiques; the series won four of the 22 awards for which it was nominated, including two Primetime Emmy nominations.

Robert played Young Nelson in the 1989 episode “Ask Me Again” of the romantic comedy drama “American Playhouse”, and he portrayed Roy Barton in the 1990 episode “Mr. Swlabr” of the fantasy comedy drama “Monsters”.

He appeared in only one other TV series: the 1991 episode “Ralph S. Mouse” of the short adventure “ABC Weekend Specials”, which starred Willie Tyler, Frank Welker and Hal Smith, and is an adaption of literature for children. The series won 12 of the 42 awards for which it was nominated.

Roles in movies

Robert played Danny in the 1989 comedy “Let’s Get Mom”, and then portrayed Kevin in the critically acclaimed 1990 romantic fantasy drama “Edward Scissorhands”.

It was written and directed by Tim Burton, starred Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder and Dianne Wiest, and follows the life of an artificial man, who has scissors for hands, and who has just been introduced to the townsfolk for the first time; the movie won nine of the 34 awards for which it was nominated, including an Oscar nomination for Best Make-up.

Robert appeared in only three other movies: the 1990 comedy “The Flockens”, the 1992 adventure family comedy “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and the 1994 short science fiction comedy “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience”.

Robert has been staying away from the media’s attention since he retired from acting in 1994, however, many of his fans have apparently seen him in Florida. According to them, the former child actor is today living there, and has a wife and children.

It’s believed by some that Robert is working as a psychologist, while others believe that he’s a software developer; none of his has been confirmed, so Robert’s current profession remains undisclosed.

Love life and wife

Robert hasn’t given any interviews since 1994, nor has he appeared at any red carpet events, however, because numerous people claim to have seen Robert in Florida, it’s believed that he’s today a married man.

Robert and his wife apparently exchanged vows sometime in the 2000s, and were introduced by a mutual friend at college; it was love at first sight for Robert, who then asked their mutual friend to help out.
