Who is Orion Acaba?
The “Critical Role” is an American web series produced by Geek & Sundry, in which a group of professional voice actors play “Dungeon & Dragons”, a fantasy tabletop role-playing game; one of the characters in the first campaign of this series was a Dragonborn sorcerer, Tiberius Stormwind, played by Orion Acaba. Orion Acaba was raised in Los Angeles by his parents, about whom he hasn’t spoken as he respects their privacy, and he has two siblings about whom little is known, except their names, Annette and Christal.
Orion presents himself as a gamer and geek, and he had an interest in video games from an early age – as he said, he dreamed about becoming a video game character, some kind of superhero who fights the villains. Once he said that if he ever got the chance to choose which character to become, it would be Grog Strongjaw. He also had an interest, and has been trained in Parkour, martial arts, stunts, and firearms. Speaking of Orion’s educational background, he attended a local high school, then upon matriculating in 1998, he didn’t enroll in college, but became a member of The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, in Los Angeles, which teaches long-form improvisation, writing, sketch and various other comedy skills.
Orion made his debut as a voice actor in 2009, when he voiced the character of Crazy Dave in the video game “Plants vs. Zombies”, and then he was heard as Dracula in “Galactic Bowling”, and as a Narrator in the short movie “The Storm”, while the same year, he also made his acting debut portraying Tito in the short movie “Stay Shy”, written and directed by Kaniel Loughran. In the following year, Orion was heard in the video game “Trauma Team”, and then voiced Male Pedestrians in the video game “inFamous 2″, before he was heard as Ivar in “Tales of Xillia”, followed by his voice roles in video games such as “Saints Row: The Third”, “Fire Emblem: Awakening”, and “The Amazing Spider-Man”, before he voiced the character of Hoheto Hyuga in the animated series “Naruto: Shippuden” in 2012.

Also in 2014, Orion won the Behind the Voice Actors Award for Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year. Since the list of Orion’s voice roles is too long to enumerate, we will mention some of his most notable, such as Tiberius Stormwind in the series “Critical Role” in 2015, and Apollo Justice in the video game “Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice” in 2016, and next, as Ochoa in the video game “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy” in 2017, and then he reprised his role as Tiberius Stormwind in the series “Draconian Knights” in 2018.

What happened to Orion Acaba on Critical Role?
Orion Acaba was heard in 27 episodes of “Critical Role”, and after it was announced that he was leaving the show, there were various speculations surrounding his exit.
Some of them were that his frequent outbursts often embarrassed and annoyed the crew and cast members, but the official statement on the Geek & Sundry Twitch channel was that Orion would no longer appear in the series due to mutual parting of ways. However, Orion made a statement claiming that he left the show due to health issues, but later confessed to having a drug addiction, and he also shared with his followers on his Twitch channel that he has been diagnosed with cancer, thus his fans believed that those were the real reasons for his leaving the “Critical Role”. Sometime in 2017, Orion mentioned in one of his Twitch videos that his drug addiction problems were solved and that he’s hoping for a healthier life for himself.
