An actress and musician, Marta Kober was born under the zodiac sign of Scorpio on 23 October 1963, in New York City USA; she holds American nationality, and her ethnicity is Caucasian. She has nearly 25 credits to her name, but is perhaps still known best for her role as Sandra in the 1981 horror movie “Friday the 13th Part 2”, starring Amy Steel, Betsy Palmer and John Furey. The interesting trivia about this role is that she was only 16 at that time of filming, but lied that she was older, and when this was discovered, her nudity was edited out of the movie.

Marta might be familiar to punk-rock fans, since in the early ‘90s, she performed under the moniker Marta Scorsese with the musical group The Bomb, alongside Jeff Pezzati, Steve Albini, Mike Soucy and Paul Garcia.

Early life and education

Marta was raised in New York City by her parents, although she hasn’t disclosed any information regarding their names and occupations; she hasn’t spoken about having siblings, thus it’s assumed that she was raised an only child.

Marta attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts in New York City, and upon matriculating in 1981, she pursued her acting career.

Her fellows from the high school include renowned actors such as Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames, and Esai Morales, among others.

Roles in movies

After her first appearance in “Friday the 13th Part 2” in 1979, she followed with her roles as Debra in “Baby It’s You”, and as Amanda in “Enormous Changes at the Last Minute” in 1983.

In the following years, she was seen as Megan in the TV movie “Second Sight: A Love Story”, and then portrayed Hellen in another TV movie “Shattered Vows”, a romantic drama based on the novel “Nun” written by Mary Gilligan Wong.

There were various rumors both concerning Marta’s love life and her sexual orientation,  however, she hasn’t spoken about any man or woman whom she has been with. She was romantically linked to her co-star from “Friday the 13th Part 2”, Bill Randolph, who portrayed Jeff, however, the two have neither confirmed nor denied these assumptions but one thing is for sure, they had an on-screen romance in the movie.

As of February 2022, Marta seems to be single, she hasn’t been married or engaged, and doesn’t have children.

What happened to Marta Kober?

After she withdrew from the movie and television industry in the early ‘90s, we haven’t heard much about Marta’s life. There is a Facebook account, established in 2011, however, we’re not sure that it is run by Marta, or by one of her fans.

In 2010, it was heard that she would appear on the annual Monster Mania convection, and one of the journalists interviewed her, and besides questions about “Friday the 13th Part 2 “, he asked her about her life, what she was doing all these years.

Marta said that she worked for Deathrow and Def Jam Records, and that music has been her passion from an early age; she was also doing some commercials but as she said, she was mostly selling recordings and enjoying that.

In the following years, rumors were saying that she’d moved to Hawaii, and then it was rumored that she lives in Alaska.

Some rumors were saying that she is a drug addict, and was seen in some porn videos, others saying that she was seen on the street, with messy hair, old clothes, and her pants were all wet and dirty with faeces.

On 19 April 2014, the news about Marta Kober being arrested floated the internet and newspapers; her mugshot was shared online, and it seems that Marta has had some substance problems – according to the Police Department from North Bend, Oregon, she was arrested for trespassing.

Her fans were sorry to hear about what happened to the once ‘girl-next-door-looking’ beauty, and some photos of her from the streets of North Bend proved that the rumors about her were (unfortunately) true.

What is she doing today?

After she was arrested, she found a job as a housekeeper, and tried to pull herself together, and to take back her life on the right path.

In 2021, in the series “Coroner’s Report” she has reprised her role as Sandra in this crime horror, which follows the story about a fictional crime scene report with the victims from various horror franchises.

Age, height, and net worth

Marta is 58 years old, she has light brown hair and brown eyes, weighs around 120lbs (55kgs) and is 5ft 3ins (1.6m) tall.

As of February 2022, her net worth has been estimated at just $10,000.
