He had a hard time as a fresh Law graduate, but landed a job in the sales department of Dispute Suite software company, which is situated in Florida. His resilience and determination was noticed by his employers, and he was soon afterwards made Sales Vice President. While working at Dispute Suite, he met with Katic’s brother Mark and they became good friends, also going on business trips together. Brkljač later tried his luck in the field of credit, and eventually became very successful. During an interview, he said that ‘It was new and unchartered waters for me. I was talking to people every day who were struggling to develop an effective and relevant strategy. It was a perfect fit, and I was excited to help.’ He partnered with Jim Rivette and Robert Ellerman, and they became forefront innovators and thinkers in the field of credit repair. He now owns an international sales and development firm.

Brkljač has done a bit of acting too – he made an appearance in the romantic-drama film “Lost in Florence” in  2017, the Evan Oppenheimer-directed film, which was shot in Italy and starred his wife Stana, Brett Dalton and Emily Atack. Their relationship was tested before they tied the knot, when Stana was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with the “Castle” co-star, Nathan Fillion.

However, their relationship was short-lived and Kris reunited with Katic, afterwards making their relationship official with their marriage. Kris had popped the question in 2014 and their wedding ceremony was held later in April 2015, one day to Stana’s 37th birthday, in a private monastery located on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast in the presence of their close friends and family.
