Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Kris Srboljub Brkljač was born under the Aries zodiac sign on 7 October 1961, in Sydney, New South Wales Australia, which makes him 60 years old as of mid-2022. His parents migrated from Serbia to Australia, where he spent his childhood together with his brothers Milan and Dragoljub.
Brkljač attended high school in Sydney and subsequently emigrated to the USA to work and also further his studies after his matriculation, studying Communication Media and later Law.
Apparently, he struggled financially and had a rough time as a law student in the US, and lived on New York’s streets because he was homeless – he aspired to become a successful businessman, and he always wanted to start his own company
Kris is physically fit and active, and is a big fan of martial arts.
He is also a nature lover and likes hiking.
He enjoys traveling together with his wife, and the media covered the couple’s trip to Greece (2014). He frequently visits Serbia and Australia to meet his relatives, and explore attractive destinations.
He’s also interested in culinary magic and anthropology.
Career – From Rags to Riches
According to sources, Kris had to get loans to set him up years before he found his footing in the world of business. He had a hard time as a fresh Law graduate, but landed a job in the sales department of Dispute Suite software company, which is situated in Florida. His resilience and determination was noticed by his employers, and he was soon afterwards made Sales Vice President. While working at Dispute Suite, he met with Katic’s brother Mark and they became good friends, also going on business trips together. He describes his professional life as a movie, and revealed that he feels like ‘It’s all about who is directing your movie, and my movie was about being successful without any excuses.’
Brkljač later tried his luck in the field of credit, and eventually became very successful. During an interview, he said that ‘It was new and unchartered waters for me. I was talking to people every day who were struggling to develop an effective and relevant strategy. It was a perfect fit, and I was excited to help.’ He partnered with Jim Rivette and Robert Ellerman, and they became forefront innovators and thinkers in the field of credit repair. He now owns an international sales and development firm.
Brkljač has done a bit of acting too – he made an appearance in the romantic-drama film “Lost in Florence” in 2017, the Evan Oppenheimer-directed film, which was shot in Italy and starred his wife Stana, Brett Dalton and Emily Atack. He also made an appearance in the episode of “Castle” entitled “Death Gone Wild” in 2013, again appearing alongside his wife.
Unlike his wife who is very popular on social media and uses her Instagram, Facebook and Twitter handles to promote her career and connect with her fans, Kris doesn’t have any presence on any of the aforementioned platforms.
Kris and Katic were long-time friends before they tied the knot; they first met through Katic’s younger brother, Mark Stana. The duo has kept their relationship details out of the public’s eye, and are only seen attending celebrity events together, including 2012’s Elton John Academy Awards event held in Los Angeles. According to sources, they were separated in mid-2000, but reconciled seven years later.
Their relationship was tested before they tied the knot, when Stana was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with the “Castle” co-star, Nathan Fillion.
However, their relationship was short-lived and Kris reunited with Katic, afterwards making their relationship official with their marriage. Kris had popped the question in 2014 and their wedding ceremony was held later in April 2015, one day to Stana’s 37th birthday, in a private monastery located on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast in the presence of their close friends and family. They shared black-and-white photos of their wedding on Instagram, clasping their hands together.
The couple is currently living in Los Angeles, California. They haven’t welcomed any children together.
Height, Weight, and Physical Appearance
Kris has brown eyes and long dark brown hair. He is 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall, weighs approximately 127lbs (57kgs) and wears shoe size 9 (US).
In addition to his multiple business ventures which have earned him significant net worth, Brkljač’s wife’s career in showbiz has also earned her a decent fortune too, which has helped elevate his wealth.
