Chrissy Lampkin is an American actress and reality TV show star, but perhaps known best as the fiancée of the rapper Jim Jones. She’s also an interior designer, and runs She Flipz – a company that transforms real estate properties.
Early life, family, educational background
Chrissy Lampkin was born on 27 April 1971, in Harlem, New York USA – she’s of Cuban-African descent, and has American nationality. The names and occupations of her parents remain unknown, as they prefer to stay out of the limelight – reportedly, she was separated from her parents and was raised by her grandmother; she doesn’t seem to have any siblings. The actress hasn’t talked about her childhood, or revealed any information about her education.
Allegedly, Chrissy was arrested in 1992 for her involvement with drug trafficking. It is believed that she also participated in credit card schemes and shoplifting. Eventually, she turned her life around and started a successful career as an actress.

Chrissy Lampkin debuted when she appeared in the reality TV show “Love & Hip Hop: New York” in 2011, which centered around musicians involved in East Coast hip hop. In 2012, she starred in the show’s spin-off “Chrissy & Mr. Jones”, which focused on the romantic struggles of Chrissy and her fiancé, rapper Jim Jones. The show aired on VH1 for two seasons but wasn’t renewed for a third season.
From 2012 to 2013, she was invited twice to the talk show “Big Morning Buzz Live”, hosted by Carrie Keagan and centering around pop culture news. In 2013, she appeared in another talk show entitled “Bethenny”, which mainly featured interviews with celebrities.
Chrissy was seen in Jim Jones’ music video “We Fly High” in 2015. A year later, she starred in another spin-off reality show “Jim & Chrissy: Vow or Never” alongside Jim Jones, showing the couple when they were planning their wedding. In 2017, Chrissy appeared in the show “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” which is filled with drama, and features couples who are on the verge of a break-up. In 2019, she was invited to the talk show “The Real” in the episode “Love & Hip Hop: New York Takeover Week! Day 1”.
In 2022, Chrissy was cast for the role of Celeste in the movie “A Second Chance” which tells the story of Adam Middleton who dies accidentally and has to earn his passage to Heaven.
Career as an interior designer
Apart from being an part-time actress and a reality show star, Chrissy is also an interior designer. In 2021, she founded the real estate company She Flipz with Indira Martinez. They redesign properties that needed renovation and/or a modernized the interior. It was a significant venture for the star, but it’s unknown if the business is still up and running. She hasn’t posted anything about it since 2021.
Personal life, fiancé Jim Jones
Chrissy is engaged to the rapper Jim Jones. They started dating in 2004, and were living together when they appeared in “Love & Hip Hop: New York”. Lampkin was madly in love and wanted to take their relationship to the next level, so instead of waiting for Jim to propose, she changed the script and popped the question right there on set. Jim’s answer was ‘I’m with you’ which was considered to be a ‘yes’. Regardless of his response, Jones didn’t seem to be ready for marriage at the time. Chrissy felt his uncertainty, and took a break from the relationship in 2012. To win her back, Jim surprised her with a ring when she was on a trip to Miami with her friends.
Even though Lampkin and Jones proposed to one another and were planning their wedding, they’ve never married. During her interview on the show “The Real”, Chrissy mentioned that marriage isn’t the couple’s priority anymore because their relationship is in a good place.
Lampkin and Jones don’t have any children.

Joseph Guillermo ‘Jim’ Jones II is an American rapper, recording executive, and music manager. He was born on 15 July 1976, in Harlem. He created the hip-hop group the Diplomats with his childhood friend Cam’ron in 1997. He released his first solo album “On My Way to Church” in 2004, followed by two more albums – “Harlem: Diary of a Summer” and “Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment)” – in 2005 and 2006. His song “We Fly High” reached fifth spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, which received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In 2009, the artist released his first album (“Pray IV Reign”) with a major label, Columbia records. Two years later, he came out with “Capo”, then took a break from his solo music career, releasing the sixth album “El Capo” only in 2019.
