His parents met in 1994 when Orianne was 22 years old, and the two married in 1999. They were married until 2006, and Phil paid £25 million to Cevey, which became the largest divorce settlement in a British celebrity divorce. The band’s history traces back to January 2015, when Collins and his childhood friend Yang Waingarten started the band named Fifty Eight Hundred. At first, they were playing covers, but after a few line-up changes, they began playing at various festival venues, including Sion Festival, Okeechobee Music, and Arts Festival among others.
Once deCasa joined the band in early 2020, they started making their own music, and since then have released singles “Lies”, “Slow Fade (Warm It Up)”, and “Change”.

Nicholas Collins Father, Phil Collins Biography
Born Philip David Charles Collins on 30 January 1951, in London, England, he’s the son of Greville Philip Austin Collins, an insurance agent, and Winifred June Collins, who was a booking agent at the Barbara Speake Stage School.
The youngest of three children. Phil was the only one who showed an interest in music, and at the age of five, he was given his first toy drum kit.
His interest increased as he got older, and he started practicing by playing along to music on the TV and radio. At seven years old, Phil entered a talent contest in which he sang “The Ballad of Davy Crocket” – during the performance, he stopped singing and told the orchestra that they weren’t playing the right tune.
He studied under Frank King and Lloyd Ryan, which he now considers the most helpful lessons he had regarding music. However, he never learned to read or write musical notation, but has created his own system.
Before pursuing music, Phil auditioned for a number of acting roles but without any major success, and soon turned to music full-time.
He toured the country with the Cliff Charles Blues Band, and later joined The Gladiators. With Ronnie Caryl, he joined John Walker’s backing band and went on a European tour. The band stayed together after the tour, changing the name to Flaming Youth and signing a record deal with Fontana Records.
Before they split, Flaming Youth released the concept album “Ark 2” in 1969. The following year, Phil auditioned for a drumming spot in the rock band Genesis, and was eventually accepted.
The first album on which he worked as a full-time member of Genesis was “Nursery Cryme” released in 1971, but the first few albums with the band were unsuccessful until Collins took over the lead vocals after Peter Gabriel left the band in the mid-’70s.
The first major success was the album “A Trick of the Tail” in 1976, followed by albums “Wind & Wuthering” also in 1976, then “…And Then There Were Three…” (1978), and “Duke” (1980), which became the band’s first No. 1 album.
Genesis and Phil Collins enjoyed success throughout the ’80s, as they released three other No. 1 albums, including “Abacab” (1981), then “Genesis” (1983), and “Invisible Touch” (1986), while their most successful album, “We Can’t Dance” came out in 1991, achieving multiple platinum certifications in several countries, including the UK and USA.
Collins left the band in 1996, but has been there for Genesis reunion tours in 2006 and 2020.
He has also enjoyed a prolific career as a solo artist, releasing eight studio albums, including his debut “Face Value” (1981) which topped the UK charts, followed by “No Jacket Required” (1985), which achieved diamond status in the US, then “…But Seriously” (1989), “Dance into the Light” (1996), and “Going Back” (2010), among other releases.
Some of his most popular songs include “In the Air Tonight”, “Easy Lover”, “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)”, “Another Day in Paradise”, among many others.
He has been experiencing problems with his health in recent years, which includes type 2 diabetes and its complications, while he’s also been dealt with an undiagnosed nerve problem, which has affected his ability to play drums.
To make things worse, he has admitted to having battled depressive thoughts, and contemplated suicide, but has prevailed thanks largely to his love for his children.
According to sources, Phil Collins is the second wealthiest drummer with a net worth of $300 million – the only drummer richer than him is the legendary Ringo Starr.
