Who is Diane Addonizio?

A successful author, businesswoman and lawyer, Diane Addonizio, better known as the wife of the famous former American Football player Howie Long, was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 16 March 1962, in Red Bank, New Jersey USA. Diane holds American nationality and her ethnicity is Caucasian.

She was raised in Monmouth County town of Red Bank, by her parents Frank and Maria Cecere, alongside her brother James; since Diane prefers to keep information about her family private, she hasn’t revealed their occupations.

Marriage with Howie Long

Diane and Howie met while they were both attending Villanova University in the ‘80s, and Diane spoke about the days when they were college sweethearts saying: ‘I’d never met anyone that big who was that good-looking. He was always like a volcano about to erupt, always driven.’

She was a freshman and Howie a sophomore, and she recalls that their first date was when he invited her into his room to watch the National Football League game on television, and as she said it took her some time to understand this ‘strange, moody young giant’.

When Howie graduated from college, he bought an engagement ring for Diane and proposed to her, and the two married on 27 June 1982. In 1985 they were blessed with their first son, Christopher, and then their second son Kyle was born in 1988, while the youngest, named Howie Junior, was born in 1990.

Diane left her career behind and devoted her life to raising their sons, and being a support to her husband’s professional career.

Their three sons all followed in their father’s steps and became professional football players, but their parents are also proud of them for being caring, kind and generous, and proudest of their son Christopher when he donated all his salary to charity, and according to sources that was an amount of around $400,000; Christopher continued with his charity work until he retired.

As of February 2022, Diane is still in a marriage with her college sweetheart, and they enjoy living in their residence in Charlottesville, Virginia, although they spend some time in their house in Redondo Beach, California.

Diane is 59 years old, with golden brown hair and hazel eyes; she weighs around 125lbs (58kgs) and is 5ft 8ins (1.72m) tall.

Diane is now a non-practicing lawyer, and it’s hard to find out more about her business ventures, since she prefers to keep her life away from the media’s attention, although it’s known that she’s the author of the book “He’s Just My Dad!”, and that she was a member of the National Football League Head UP Football Advisory Committee.

Who is Howie Long?

Howard Matthew Moses ‘Howie’ Long was born under the zodiac sign of Capricorn on 6 January 1960, in Somerville, Massachusetts USA; he holds American nationality and his ethnicity is White. He’s a former professional American Football player, who played in the National Football League for 13 seasons with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders as a Defensive end.

Howie is also known for his roles in movies, such as “Broken Arrow”, “Firestorm”, and “3000 Miles to Graceland”, and he also made appearances in TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “Married…with Children”, and “Malcolm in the Middle”, among others.

Currently, Howie is working as a studio analyst for Fox Sports’ NFL coverage, having in 1997 won Sports Emmy Award Outstanding Sports Personality – Analyst/Commentary, and in the following years was 10 times nominated for Sports Emmy Award Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst.

Speaking about his early life, he had a tough childhood as his parents divorced, and he was raised in Charlestown, Boston by his maternal grandmother and his uncles. His parents’ names are Howard Long Senior and Margaret Kirk, and besides Howie, they had a daughter named Ann Marie Long, who died in 2016.

Howie attended Milford High School, in Massachusetts, since he moved there to live with his uncle, who was a big support to him. While in high school, Howie played football, basketball and was a track runner.

Upon matriculating in 1978, he enrolled at Villanova University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 1982, and while there played college football, in his senior year earning All-East honors, and was an ‘honorable mention’ All-American.

In 1981, he was selected by the Raiders in the second round of the NFL Draft, and during his career wore number 75, being selected for eight Pro Bowl and three first-team All-Pro, and in 2000 was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Howie retired from the NFL in 1993, and pursued an acting career, also being seen in various commercials and advertising campaigns with brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Honda, among others.

Since he was a spokesman for Radio Shack, he was seen in numerous commercials with actress Teri Hatcher; their joint commercials made people believe that they were in a marriage, other rumors saying that they were dating. However, this is far from the truth, since Howie has been in a marriage with Diane for over 35 years, and Teri is just a close friend.

Howie’s age is 61; he has light brown hair and piercing blue eyes which are now hidden behind glasses, but although aging, he is still in good shape. He weighs around 265lbs (120kgs) and is 6ft 5ins (1.96m) tall.
