Who is Mia Isaac?

American actress and social media star Mia Wei-Ming Isaac was born under the zodiac sign Gemini on 25 May 2004, in the USA. She has nine acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing Wally Park, one of the main characters in the 2022 drama movie “Don’t Make Me Go”, which also starred Kaya Scodelario and John Cho, and was directed by Hannah Marks. It follows a single father who’s just learned that his teenage daughter’s suffering from an incurable brain tumor, while he’s now taken her on a road trip to meet her mother who abandoned her not long after she was born; the film won two of its four award nominations.

Mia’s today highly active in the film industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming mini-series “The Perfect Couple”.

Early life and education

Mia was raised alongside her brother Zion and sister Nylah, by their father Alfredo and mother Simone; not many details have been disclosed about her family but it’s known that she’s of Asian and African descent. It’s widely believed that her father’s an acting coach and her mother a dance instructor, however, this is yet to be addressed by Mia.

She was still attending a local elementary school when she fell in love with acting, and was 14 when she made her film debut, playing one of the main characters Claire in the comedy “Lovestruck”, which also starred Andie MacDowell and Kathleen Turner, and was directed by Sanaa Hamri. It follows the lives of wedding guests on the night of a couple’s nuptials.

Mia attended a local high school in Los Angeles, California from which she’s matriculated just recently in 2023; some of her fans believe that she’s enrolled at college but this is yet to be confirmed by Mia.

Roles in movies

Mia played Brittany in the 2020 short comedy “The Quaranteens”, starring alongside Connor Harrison and Anna Borysiak, while the film was directed by Moli Hall. It follows a boy who’s fallen in love with his long-time crush, high next-door neighbor during the 2020 quarantine.

Also in 2020, Mia starred as Vivian in the short drama “The Cancel Club”, which also starred Joshua Israel and Isabella Bloedorn, and was directed by Moli Hall; it follows the lives of several high school students.

The year 2021 saw her portray Melody in the short drama “You Could Have Done Better”, which also starred Joshua Israel and Kimberly Blake, and which Mia also wrote and directed; the film follows a single mother and her relationship with her daughter.

In 2022, Mia portrayed Rowan in the critically acclaimed thriller comedy “Not Okay”, starring alongside Dylan O’Brien and Zoey Deutch, while the film was written and directed by Quinn Shephard. It follows a young woman who’s become popular on the internet now that she’s lied about surviving a deadly attack, and the movie was nominated for a 2023 MTV Movie Award Best Comedic Performance, for Dylan.

Mia’s only other film role has been playing the lead character Aurora in the 2023 science fiction thriller “Gray Matter”, which also starred Garret Dillahunt and Jessica Frances Dukes, and was directed by Meko Winbush. It follows Aurora who’s just learned from her mother that they both have superhuman abilities – it was nominated for a 2023 Web Series Festival Global Finalist Award.

Roles in TV series

Mia’s appeared in only a single TV series. She played Covey in seven episodes of the 2023 historical mystery “Black Cake”, which starred Ashley Thomas, Chipo Chung and Adrienne Warren, and was created by Marissa Jo Cerar; it follows the disappearance of Bride Covey under the ocean under strange circumstances.

Other credits

Mia wrote the 2020 short movie “The Cancel Club”.

She sang the song “Complicated” in the 2022 movie “Not Okay”.

The year 2022 saw Mia make a guest appearance in the talk-show “No Rest for the Weekend”, and the year 2023 saw her appear in the talk-show “Project Greenlight: A New Generation”.

Love life and relationships

Mia shies away from talking about her love life on the internet, and although most of her fans believe that she’s disinterested in love as she’s currently working on her career, there are also those who think otherwise.

A fan has recently claimed on the internet to have seen Mia spending time with her girlfriend in Los Angeles; this would mean that the aspiring actress is lesbian or bisexual but no evidence has been provided to support the claims, nor has Mia addressed the matter.

There are also some who believe that she’s today in a relationship with her high school sweetheart, a non-celebrity American boy whom she began dating in 2021, but this hasn’t been addressed by Mia either.

She seems to be unattached as of December 2023, doesn’t have children and hasn’t married.

Mia’s quite active on Instagram and has posted 40 pictures and videos onto the network, while she’s today followed by close to 30,000 people; most of her content shows her during her everyday life, whether she’s travelling around the USA, shooting for her movies or spending time with her friends and family.
