Besides being a celebrity child, Karli is well-known for her beauty salon and for her work as a public speaker, who collaborated with ‘Young, Fit & Fly’ and Disney Dreamers Academy, whose goals are to empower and motivate women to be physically fit, and help to encourage girls to become a better version of themselves.
Early life, family, and education
Karli Harvey was born under the zodiac sign of Leo, on 20 August 1983, in the USA (her exact birth town is unrevealed), thus she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is African-American. Karli was raised by her parents, and when they divorced in 1994, her mother Marcia had the main role in her upbringing, since her father left them to pursue his career as a comedian; Karli has a twin sister, Brandi, and younger brother, Broderick Harvey Junior, who is a fashion designer. Brandi also has a passion for being a source of inspiration and empowerment to other women, so she often partnered with Karli.
Speaking of their mother, Marcia is a writer, and has released three books entitled “Marcia: Eyes To The Soul”, “Marcia: Thoughts From My Mind”, and “Marcia: Poems From The Heart”.
From her father’s side, Karli has one half-sibling, Wynton, while her father adopted Morgan, Jason, and Lori, his third wife Marjorie’s children, thus Karli accepted them as her siblings.
There isn’t much information about Karli’s educational background, although it’s known that she attended a local high school, but upon matriculating in 2000, it seems that she didn’t enroll in college, since in one of her interviews, she said that she took acting classes, and soon realized that it wasn’t the career for her.
Reportedly, Karli has been doing many things over the years, until 2017, when she opened her own beauty salon, and focused on her career as a hairstylist.
Karli presents herself as a successful businesswoman, and a vegan diet and fitness enthusiast, while in her bio on Instagram, she wrote about herself: ‘Wife. Mother. Lover. Entrepreneur. International Event Host/Emcee. Fly girl who loves to cook tasty vegan food!’
As mentioned, she is a dedicated public speaker, who supports women and girls particularly – one of the sentences she often uses is: ‘Although pretty comes with its privileges, it will be your substance that keeps you in the room…That to be successful, you will need to be smart, well-read, and hardworking. Pretty is cool, but what else do you offer the world?’
One of the communities she is also very supportive of is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT).
Husband and son
Karli is married to Benjamin Raymond, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raymond Enterprises, who was her long-term boyfriend, and an athlete before venturing into business.
The two met in 2012, and after a few years of dating, they exchanged their wedding vows on 26 September 2015, in a lavish wedding ceremony held at the St Regis Hotel in Buckhead, Georgia, estimated to have cost over $250,000. There were over 300 guests, and the groom surprised the bride with a live performance from R&B singer, Kenny Lattimore.
On 16 June 2016, Karli gave birth to their so, Benjamin Troy Raymond III, and the family of three lives in their residence in Los Angeles, California.

Who is her father, Steve Harvey?
Broderick Stephen ‘Steve’ Harvey Senior was born under the zodiac sign of Capricorn on 17 January 1957, in Welch, West Virginia USA; he holds American nationality and his ethnicity is African-American. Steve is a comedian, television and radio host, writer and producer, perhaps known best as the host of shows such as “Family Feud”, “The Steve Harvey Morning Show”, and “Celebrity Family Feud”, among others.
Steve was raised alongside his siblings, Terry, Pauline and Mona, by their parents Eloise Vera, a homemaker, and Jesse Harvey, a coal miner, Steve was named after actor Broderick Crawford, who appeared in the series “Highway Patrol”, his father’s favorite TV show.
As a child, Steve had a severe stuttering problem, which he eventually overcame, although it caused him some trouble in communicating with his friends. His family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended Glenville High School, from where he matriculated in 1975. Steve then enrolled at Kent State University but transferred to West Virginia University, where he was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, however, he never graduated.
Steve worked various jobs – he was even a boxer, as well as an insurance salesman, a mail carrier, and a carpet cleaner; he was homeless for three years, even sleeping in his car.
In 1981, he married Karli’s mother, but as mentioned, left his wife and three children to pursue a career as a comedian; in one of his shows, Karli stated: ‘Dad, we didn’t understand why you left us, but we know now you had to go. You didn’t just belong to us. You belonged to the world.’
The world indeed enjoys Steve’s comedy, but it was a big struggle for Steve from his first performance at the Hilarities Comedy Club in Cleveland in 1985 to become one of the most favorite comedians.
In 1996, Steve married his second wife Mary Shackelford, with whom he has a son, Wynton Harvey, about whom little is known. At that time, Steve was already on his way to success, performing with Bernie Mac, D. L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer on the Kings of Comedy tour, which became the highest-grossing comedy tour, with $18 million in its first year (1997).
In the following years, Steve began hosting “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” (2000), and made appearances in numerous movies, including “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” (2003), “You Got Served” (2004), and “Racing Stripes” (2005), in which he voiced the character of Buzz.
In 2005, he divorced his second wife, and two years later married Marjorie Bridges, with whom he still lives.
According to sources, as of August 2022, once a homeless man, Steve Harvey, now has a net worth estimated at over $280 million, most of his wealth he has earned thanks to his talent and hard work.
