Her name is Parker McKenna Posey, and the mentioned role brought her a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) – Young Actress Age Ten or Under, and although she’s still perhaps known best for her role as Kady Kyle, Parker is an actress with over 15 credits to her name, and has been seen starring in numerous series and movies, including “Lucky Girl” and “90 Minutes of the Fever”.

Early life, family, and education

Parker was born under the zodiac sign of Leo on 18 August 1995, in Los Angeles, California USA; she holds American nationality, and her ethnicity is of mixed Irish, Italian, Native American and African-American descent.

Her father, Polo Posey, comes from a family of Native American and African-American descent – his occupation hasn’t been revealed, while her Irish-Italian mother, Heather Stone, is also an actress. Parker has two siblings, Carl and Jewel, but when their parents divorced, their mother remarried, and so Parker also has three half-siblings, namely Jake, Khari and Dilynne, about whom little is known.

Parker had an interest in acting from an early age, and she began performing aged four. Growing up, she discovered her talent in designing, however, an acting career is what she dreamed of.

Speaking of her educational background, she attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2013, she didn’t enroll into college but pursued her acting career.

Parker made her acting debut portraying Kady Kyle in the series “My Wife and Kids” in 2000, also starring Damon Wayans, George Gore II and Tisha Campbell, which had 36 award nominations, including for the Young Artist Award for Best Ensemble in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama), which Parker shares with the rest of the crew, and won 11.

Concurrently with her role in “My Wife and Kids” which was broadcast until 2005, Parker was seen in series such as “NYPD Blue” (2001) and “Strong Medicine” (2004), and she was next cast to play Kathy in “iCarly” in 2009.

Parker’s next role came in 2017 when she guest-starred as Melody Wright in “Snowfall”, followed by her role as Laila James in “Games People Play” in 2019, while in the following year, she portrayed Ananda in “Heaux Phase”.

Her most recent role was her portrayal of Summer in the drama series “A House Divided”, from 2020 until 2022.

Roles in movies

Parker made her first big-screen appearance portraying Poppy Frost in the 2005 movie “Meet the Santas”, followed by her role as Elizabeth in the 2007 teenage romantic drama “Alice Upside Down”, also starring Luke Perry, Lucas Garbeel and Alyson Stoner.

Three years later, Parker was cast to play Kery in the TV movie “Summer Camp”, followed by her role as Trisha Meadows in “Lucky Girl” in 2015.

Love life and relationships

There have been various rumors concerning Parker’s love life, and in 2019 her private life came into the limelight after she accused her then-boyfriend, Chris Sails, of beating her, and after she posted a photo featuring herself with a black eye, he came forward to defend himself. In her interview for Madame Noire she said: ‘I can’t give too many details but I can just say that that’s a lie and I’ll just leave it at that. Even if, let’s just remove me from the situation. Let’s remove him from the situation’, adding that it was just a bad period in her life and that now she wants to live a cleaner, healthier life.
