The British actor, TV personality and entrepreneur Nick Sagar, is widely known for his role of Detective Alonzo in the series “Queen of the South”, and as Charles Frederickson in the drama show “The Haves and the Have Nots,” which aired for eight seasons on Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Nick was born Nicholas Dewan Sagar under the Capricorn zodiac sign on 7 January 1988, in London, England, which makes him 34 years old as of 2022. He has two brothers – Michael Sagar who is the oldest, and the actor and model Sean Sagar, who is the youngest. He is of Guyanese roots from his father’s side, and Jamaican through his mother, and so is racially mixed Indian and Black – during an interview with Timid, he disclosed, ‘I loved being mixed race growing up and I think you’re right in saying I saw myself as whole rather than half. Film Appearances
Sagar made his film debut with a minor role in the Richard Cottan-directed TV film “Gunrush” in 2009, followed by an appearance in the short movie “Just Like Family” in the same year. He played a security officer in the horror movie “S.N.U.B.” in 2010, and two years later, Sagar portrayed Marcell in the thriller film “Ill Manors”, sharing the screen with Riz Ahmed, Plan B, and Ed Skrein. The film was nominated for five awards and won two, including a Technicolor Award for Best Cinematography.
In 2014, Nick landed the lead role of Nathan in the hit short drama “Western Diaries,” which was written by Kojo and directed by Sheridan De Myers.
In 2018, Nick played one of his most significant roles as Kelvin Richards in the Netflix comedy “The Princess Switch,” which starred Megan Metzer and Vanessa Hudgens. According to The News of the World, Nick and Burke also liked spending time indoors watching films and TV series whenever they met in London. It is reported that the duo parted ways following Sagar’s decision to move to Los Angeles. Nick was previously spotted sharing intimate moments with the American singer and actress Vanessa Hudgens, who was his “The Princess Switch” co-star. However, the two haven’t confirmed whether they were dating or not.
Nick has never married, doesn’t have children, and now lives in Los Angeles, California.
