Chelsea Zhang launched her professional acting career in 2012, when she made her debut feature film appearance in the role of a Shakespeare girl in the coming-of-age drama film “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower”, next to Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. Three years later, she was chosen to portray Naomi in the comedy-drama film “Me And Earl And The Dying Girl”, film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015 based on Jesse Andrews’ novel of the same title, praised by critics for the cast and screenplay.

During the same year, she also made guest appearances as Shelby in the ABC Family drama series “Chasing Life”, and as a Japanese girl in the Fox satirical black comedy slasher series “Scream Queens”.
