Sergio Goyri spent his early years in his hometown of Pueblo, where he was raised by his father, Ragael Goyri, and mother, María Altagracia Pérez Padilla; he has a brother, named Rafael Goyri, who is also known as an actor. Sergio Goyri launched his acting career in 1976, when he made a guest appearance in the telenovela “Mundos Opuestos”, alongside Lucía Méndez. In 1984, Sergio Goyri booked his first lead role in the action film “Entre Hierba, Polvo Y Plomo”, in which he shared the screen with Gregorio Casal and Irma Dorantes, after which he starred in the award-winning action-adventure film “El Puente”. He then worked again with Ernesto Alonso on his telenovela “Angélica”, in which he featured as the main protagonist Humberto, alongside Erika Buenfil – the series was directed by Sergio Jiménez and broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas in 1985.

It was followed by his portrayal of Ignasio Aguirre in the telenovela “Te Sigo Amando” (1996-1997), produced by Carla Estrada for Televisa – his performance in the series won him a TVyNovela Award for Best Actor.

His next major role came two years later, when he was chosen to play Fausto in Angelli Nesma Medina’s telenovela “Que Te Perdone Dios”, appearing in more than 120 episodes. He then joined the main cast of the third season of the American telenovela “Lady Of Steel”, in which he portrayed Jesús ‘Chucho’ Casares from 2016 to 2018. The series ran on Telemundo. Concurrently, he had the part of El quebrantahuesos in the crime film “Crímenes De Pasión 2”, directed by Óscar González and released in 2017.
Thereafter, Sergio was cast as Gavino Gaona in the first season of the American drama TV series “Falsa Identidad”, broadcast on Telemundo from 2018 to 2020 and later on Netflix. In 2019, he starred as Herodes in the drama film “Jesus Of Nazareth”, directed by Rafa Lara.
