Who is Madison Cheeatow?

Canadian actress, movie writer and director Madison Cheeatow, was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 9 November 1993 under the zodiac sign of Cancer. Madison has close to 20 acting credits to her name, and is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Kirsten in the 2021 short horror-comedy movie “The Last Christmas”, written and directed by Ryan Port, and in which she starred alongside Miley Haik and A. C. Peterson. It follows cheerleader Kirsten who’s been awoken by her eight-year-old sister Alice on the night before Christmas; the movie won 47 of its 52 award nominations.

Early life and education

Madison’s parents Andrew Cheeatow and Margot LeBlanc raised her in Toronto alongside her younger sister Aiden; it’s believed that her mother’s a housewife, and that her father’s involved in the real estate business.

Madison’s interest in acting was born while she was still attending a local elementary school, after one of her teachers asked if she was willing to appear in a school play. She progressed to high school in 2008, and made her debut film appearance in 2010, playing Byder in the short drama “The Dance”; the same year saw Madison become somewhat popular, for her portrayal of the main character Ruby Skye in the popular family mystery movie “Ruby Skye P. I.: The Spam Scam”, directed by Kelly Harms, and which also starred Scott Beaudin and Marlee Maslove. It follows 15 years old Ruby who enjoys investigating things, such as why her school janitor’s fingernails are clean, why her neighbor’s depressed and why is her best friend Griffin lying to her.

Madison made her debut TV series appearance in the 2010 family mystery comedy “Ruby Skye P. I.”, and she then played Amanda in the 2012 episode “Total Debate of the Heart” of the family fantasy comedy “Wingin’ It”.

She played Keira in eight episodes of the popular crime horror drama “Slasher”, created by Aaron Martin, and which today stars Christopher Jacot, Paula Brancati and Joanne Vannicola. The series has been airing since 2016, follows the lives of several serial killers, and has won one of its eight award nominations.

In 2012 and 2014, Madison reprised her role as Ruby Skye in the original film’s sequels “Ruby Skye P. I.: The Haunted Library” and “Ruby Skye P. I.: The Maltese Puppy”, and the year 2016 saw her star as Dee in the popular comedy “Sadie’s Last Days on Earth”. It was written and directed by Michael Seater, starred Ricardo Hoyos and Clark Backo, and follows teenager Sadie Mitchell who’s scared to death of a possible upcoming apocalypse; the movie won a 2017 Leo Award for Best Performance in a Youth or Children’s Program or Series (Morgan Taylor Campbell).

The year 2020 saw Madison star in three short films: the comedy “Intro”, the thriller “Anna” and the drama “Heartbreaker”.

Most recently, in 2021, she played Tanya in the drama “We’re All in This Together”, written and directed by Katie Boland, who also starred in it, alongside Martha Burns and Alisha Newton. It follows Kate Parker who nearly died in an accident after having fallen over a waterfall; the film was nominated for a 2021 Anchorage International Film Festival Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature.

Madison wrote, directed and edited the short comedy movie “Intro”, and she also wrote and directed the short thriller “Anna”, both in 2020, and in the same year she also produced the short drama movie “Heartbreaker”.

Madison and non-celebrity Canadian Chris Spoke married on 31 January 2018, in a small and private ceremony attended by only their closest family members; Chris prefers to be left out of media, and not a lot about him is known, while it’s believed that he’s an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Madison gave birth to their daughter Isla Spoke on 5 April 2018, and their son Noah followed in April 2020.

Even though Madison hasn’t mentioned any men whom she might had dated prior to meeting Chris, it’s believed that she was once in a long-term relationship with her high-school sweetheart, but that they split following her success in the film industry.

Madison’s into reading books in her spare time – she read her first ‘serious’ book when she was 11 and has since read over 200 books, with her most favorite genres being science fiction, comedy and romance.
