Mor Shapiro is an Israeli Physician, who is presently working at the University of California’s Department of Family Medicine, but is possibly best known for being the wife of the worldwide famous political commentator, attorney, and talk show host, Ben Shapiro.
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Mor Shapiro was born in 1988 in Moro Toledano, Herzliya, Israel, and is now 34 years old – her exact date of birth is not known. She hasn’t disclosed the names of her parents who are of Moroccan and Jewish ethnicity – she has also kept most of her childhood details under wraps. Mor’s family relocated to Sacramento, California, soon after she turned 12.
Mor went to a Hasharon-based Israeli school and then enrolled at Sha’arei Mishpat College before she relocated to the US. She later joined the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in 2006 and majored in Psychobiology. Shapiro then studied at the UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, then after graduating in 2010, and she completed her developmental neuroscience research after two years – her topic was how early life adversity affects the childhood brain, and she used functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) for her study, a tool that identifies brain abnormalities and measures the effects of strokes and external stimuli on the brain, and the blood flow within the brain.
Hobbies and Interests
Mor enjoys singing, and was a member of an unnamed a Capella group when she was at medical school. She is reported to have taken vocal classes when she was a child, and she’s also well-versed when it comes to playing the piano and violin.
She is very creative, and loves drawing and arts and crafts in general.
She spends her spare time watching films and TV shows – her favorites are “Friends” and “Game of Thrones.” Her best-loved musicals are “Pippin” and “Wicked.”
Mor is also actively involved in charity work, and she contributed a hefty sum to the aid of Free Clinics for needy Albanians in 2016.
Reportedly, Mor is very religious and taught Hebrew and Judaica at Los Angeles’ University Synagogue Sunday School in the past.
Mor grew up very interested in learning how the mind and body relate, which drove her to pursue a career in psychobiology (neuroscience) when she joined college. She has been described as a skilled doctor, who previously worked as a Clinical Skills Instructor, and during that time became very interested in bioethics, which is the study of ethical issues that arise as a result of modern medicine and biological advancement; it incorporates medical policies and other ethical questions, which relate to primary care, life sciences, and medicine.
Mor and Ben met through the latter’s younger sister Abigail, and they dated for many years before he popped the question in 2007. They walked the aisle a year later in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony held in Acre, Israel when she was 20 years old, and Ben 24 years old then. Their wedding was attended only by close friends and family – her husband’s father is reported to have performed an emotional song during the event. Shortly after their wedding, Ben posted on social media, ‘together we plan, with the help of God, on having healthy, happy, freedom-loving children who will grow up with the security provided by the armed guard.’
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Leeya Eliana, in 2014 – according to Ben Shapiro, the Hebrew name Leeya means ‘I belong to God.’ Leeya was born with atrial septal defect (ASD), which is characterized by a hole in the heart’s wall, but she went for surgery in 2016, which rectified the condition.
Sorry for the lack of a podcast/radio show today. The Shapiro family had more pressing matters: the addition of a beautiful baby girl! This makes Baby Shapiro #3. We are so grateful to God, and so thankful she will grow up in the freest, greatest country in the world!

Mor’s husband announced that his wife had given birth to a son on Twitter in May 2016, but didn’t reveal his name. The duo later welcomed another daughter in March 2020, but they have also not shared her name. Mor is seemingly very close to her husband, who published a letter entitled “10 Lessons in 10 Years – What Marriage Has Taught Me” shortly after they celebrated their 10 years of togetherness. Ben has on occasion revealed on Twitter how much he admires his wife’s intelligence and brains. The family of five is presently living in Nashville, Tennessee, previously in Los Angeles, and they practice Orthodox Judaism.
Height, Weight, and Physical Appearance
Mor has dark brown eyes and long dark brown hair. She is 5ft 4ins (1.64m) tall, weighs approximately 135lbs (61kgs), with vital statistics of 36-30-37; she wears shoe and dress sizes 6(US) and 4 (US) respectively.
Mor has accumulated a net worth of approximately $400,000 from her successful career as a doctor, as of late 2022. Her husband, Ben, is reputedly worth around $20 million. The couple is seemingly living a lavish lifestyle, having previously sold their Los Angeles house for around $2 million in 2020.
