His professional career began when he was selected as the 27th overall pick in the 2013 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft by the Montreal Impact.
However, he decided to move abroad, and signed with Eintracht Frankfurt, a German professional sports club based in Frankfurt, Hesse. He spent one season there, then returned to sign with the Montreal Impact. After being waived by the team at the end of the season without making a first-team appearance, he participated in the MSL Waiver Draft, through which he was selected by the New England Revolution in late 2013.
