Of African-American and Creole ancestry, K.D. grew up in Riverside and Los Angeles, and after high school, she enrolled at San Diego State University, and played on the Aztec softball team during those years.
K.D. worked behind the make-up counter at Macy’s after college, where she was discovered by a scout in 2001, and signed a contract with LA Models.
