It was followed by his portrayals of Jorge in the Canal de las Estrellas teen telenovela “Muchachitas Como Tú” in 2007.

He landed his first role as a main protagonist when he played José María Aldama in the telenovela “Juro Que Te Amo”, opposite Ana Brenda Contreras, which ran for 140 episodes in 2008 and 2009, and brought him a Premios TVyNovelas Award nomination for Best Young Lead Actor, while he won the award for his portrayal of Tomás Arana in the telenovela “Los Exitosos Pérez” (2009-2010), alongside Ludwika Paleta, Verónica Castro, and Jaime Camil. Continued Success

José Ron landed his next significant role when he was chosen to play Matías Monterrubio in the telenovela “Cuadno Me Enamoro”, along with Juan Soler and Silvia Navarro, the adaptation of another Mexican telenovela entitled “La Mentira”, created by Caridad Bravo Adams, and broadcast from 2010 to 2011 on Canal de las Estrellas.

Thereafter, he went on to star next to Ana Brenda Contreras in the telenovela “La Que No Podía Amar” (2011-2012), in which he took the role of Gustavo Durán, and for which performance he won a Premios TVyNovelas Award for Best Co-Star Actor. In 2015, José Ron made his debut feature film appearance as Jerónimo in the romantic comedy film “A La Mala”, directed by Pedro Pablo Ibarra. Afterwards, he continued to work on telenovelas, and booked the lead role of Alejandro Rivapalacio in the Televisa-produced telenovela “Simplemente María” (2015-2016), in which he shared the screen with Claudia Álvarez and Ferdinando Valencia.

Later that year, he featured as Pedro Garrido in the Las Estrellas telenovela “Te Doy La Vida”, which was produced by Lucero Suárez for Televisa.

The following year, he played Rafael Toscano in the telenovela “La Desalmada”, along with Livia Brito, Eduardo Santamarina, and Marjorie de Sousa.
