Their second album “Phantasmagore” came out on 22 August 2006, and it also charted on Billboard 200. Deadsy went on an hiatus in February 2007, eventually revealing on 16 November 2018 that they were reuniting; their new album was to be released in 2021, but has been postponed.

Who is his mother Cher?

Cherilyn ‘Cher’ Sarkisian was born in El Centro, California, on 20 May 1946 – her zodiac sign’s Taurus, and she holds American nationality. She’s probably known best for her career as a singer, and is often referred to as ‘Goddess of Pop’; Cher has released 26 studio and 10 compilation albums, and has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.

She was raised in El Centro solely by her mother Georgia Holt, who was an actress and model, as Georgia divorced Cher’s father John Sarkisian 10 months following Cher’s birth; John was a truck driver, and was addicted to both gambling and drugs. Georgia later married American actor John Southall, and gave birth to Cher’s half-sister Georganne; she divorced John when Cher was nine years old, and went on to marry and divorce several more times.

Cher grew up looking up to the late British actress Audrey Hepburn, and was 16 when she dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles to begin taking both singing and acting classes, and earned money by dancing in clubs.

She released her debut studio album “All I Really Want to Do” in 1965, and it peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200 Chart. Having previously founded the duo Caeser & Cleo together with American actor and singer Salvatore Phillip ‘Sonny’ Bono, the duo renamed themselves to Sonny & Cher in 1965, and released the song “I Got You Babe”, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Cher released several albums in the first half of the ‘70s, including “All I Ever Need is You” and “Live in Las Vegas Vol. 2”. The following decade saw the decline of her popularity, and it was her 1979 album “Take Me Home” that was her comeback.

She then ventured into the film industry, and for her performance in the 1983 biographical movie “Silkwood”, which starred Meryl Streep, was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, while she won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture. Her first lead role was in the 1985 biographical movie “Mask”, which was both a commercial and critical success.

Cher has since taken a couple of breaks from singing, but has always been able to come back in style; she’s won at least one of some of the most prestigious awards for both singing and acting, including an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, a Billboard Icon Award, and a Cannes Film Festival Award.

She’s been married twice: to Sonny Bono from 1964 to 1975, and to Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979.

Cher’s a philanthropist and a supporter of the LGBT community, while she’s donated money to various charity organizations aiming to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children, as well as to various animal shelters.
