Ruth Fiona Connell is a Falkirk, Scotland native, born under the Taurus zodiac sign on 20 April 1979, which makes her 43 years old as of 2022. Her mother, Fiona Murray was a teacher, and her father, David Connell, worked as a football coach and manager. She spent most of her childhood in Bonnybridge. Connell made her film debut in the 1998 short comedy movie “The Soldier’s Leap”, and her next role came 12 years later, when she was cast as Olga in the 2010 comedy “Above Their Station.” In 2012, she starred alongside Maria Olsen, Paulie Rojas Redding and Laura Waddell in the Justin Calen-Chenn-written and directed fiction, “Folklore.” The film is about the interviews of several mythical creatures including an angel, a water nymph, and a vampire. In the same year, she was cast in the drama “A Perfect Ending”, before she appeared in two more films in 2013: the short action film “Sapphire Strange”, and the drama “Meth Head.”

Ruth next starred as Suzanne and Sienna in the short “Sienna Burning”, before she landed the starring role in the 2016 Aitch Alberto-directed romantic-drama film “Hara Kiri.” Recently, she appeared in the comedy “Open House” in 2019 and “The Cursed Man” in the year that followed. She also lent her voice to the animated action film “The Loud House Movie” in 2021.

TV Appearances

Connell made her TV debut in 2003, playing Medical Staff in the documentary TV show “Meades Eats”, and then took a break from acting. Linda has lent her voice to a character named Merida in three video games – “Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Hero” in 2014, “Disney Infinity” in 2015, and “Lego The Incredibles” in 2018.

She performed traditional Scottish songs, “The Bonnie Banks O’Loch Lomond” and “Scotland the Brave” in two episodes of the TV series “Supernatural.”

Ruth previously took to Instagram to praise her boyfriend for his amazing job as a father.

Previously, there were rumors that Ruth is lesbian, but she’s denied the allegations. There were other rumors that she’s married to her fellow cast member Mark Sheppard. but this happened in the series “Supernatural” and not in real life.
