Who is Kaynette Williams?
Blake Shelton’s high school sweetheart, Kaynette Williams, as with most non-celebrity persons, rose to prominence after it was announced that she’d married the famous American country music singer. She was his road manager before he became famous, and today she’s an award-winning elementary teacher. Kaynette Williams was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 20 February 1973, in Ada, Oklahoma USA, thus she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is White. She was raised in Ada by her parents, about whom little is known, as Kaynette only came into the limelight after her marriage to Blake, so little is known also about her childhood and past.
She attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1991, she enrolled at college and earned two Bachelor’s degrees in the field of Finance and Human Science; however, it’s unknown which college she attended.

Blake sang her a serenade – Conway Twitty’s hit song “Julia”. Although Blake presented Kaynette as ‘the one for him’, saying: ‘I knew Kaynette was the one just because I can’t explain it.
I can’t say it’s because we get along or because of the way she looks. It’s just something I feel — you know what I mean? It’s nothing more than just knowing you’re right’, but sometimes in 2006, rumors started about their divorce, which were later confirmed as true.
Divorce
Kaynette filed for divorce claiming that her then-husband was ‘guilty of inappropriate marital conduct’, and although their fans were shocked by the news, their divorce went smoothly and without any drama. However, many people assumed that the reason for their divorce was Miranda Lambert, Blake’s second wife, especially after he admitted that he fell for Miranda after their joint concerts held in 2006.
Blake said in one of his interviews that the pain he felt during his and Kaynette’s divorce, could compare with the pain he felt when he lost his older brother Richie in a car accident. There were some rumors that after their divorce that Kaynette tried to sell her wedding gown through her friend’s E-Bay account, and that the starting price was $700, however, no bids were made on the item, and she gave up on the sale.
After divorce
Kaynette left their home in Nashville and returned to Ada, and when Blake Shelton and his new wife, Miranda Lambert moved to Oklahoma, Kaynette went to Kansas – as she said,
Oklahoma was too small for three of them. According to Country Fancast, she works there as a math teacher at an elementary school, and she is also a women’s rights activist. She withdrew from public life, and she didn’t give any interviews, except the one back, back in 2012, when she denied the rumors about her saying that she is a lesbian. In 2015, Kaynette married rodeo champion Cody Joe Scheck, known for his world record in steer roping, and the two are now living together in Kansas; they prefer to keep their lives away from the media’s attention.
Who is Blake Shelton?
Blake Tollison Shelton was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on 18 June 1976, in Ada, where he was raised by his parents – his mother, Dorothy Ann, was a beauty salon owner, and his father Richard Lee ‘Dick’ Shelton was a car salesman. Blake had an interest in music from an early age and began singing, while when he was 12 years old, his uncle taught him how to play guitar. As a teenager he started writing songs, and aged 16, received a Denbo Diamond Award, the top award for young entertainers in Oklahoma. After he graduated from high school, Blake moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he pursued his singing career, and a few years later in 2001, he signed his first contract with Giant Records.
His debut single “Austin” became his first number-one hit, and after Giant Records closed, he was transferred to Warner Bros Record company. They released his debut self-titled album, which eventually received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). During his career, to date, Blake has released 12 studio albums, two of them are gold and platinum, and received nine Grammy Award nominations, including two for Best Country Album; he’s charted 40 singles, with 28 of them making it to number one on the chart list.
Blake is also known as a coach on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)’s show “The Voice”. Speaking of his personal life, after he divorced Kaynette Williams (now Scheck), he started dating singer Miranda Lambert, and proposed to her on 9 May 2010, while their wedding was held on 14 May 2011, in Boerne, Texas. The two announced their divorce in July 2015, releasing a joint statement saying: ‘This is not the future we envisioned, and it is with a heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends, and colleagues.
Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.’ Their divorce was finalized soon after the statement was published. Not long afterwards, there were some rumors saying that Blake was dating Gwen Stefani, a famous No Doubt singer, who is also a coach in “The Voice”, and in late 2015, these were confirmed as true. The two announced their engagement on 27 October 2020 – he proposed to her at a chapel on his property in Oklahoma, and they married in that same chapel on 3 July 2021. Kaynette and Blake didn’t have children together, and he doesn’t have any biological children with any of his wives, but is now a stepfather to Gwen Stefani’s three sons.
