Wilson is an award-winning American actor and producer, perhaps best known to the world as Wade Kinsella in the TV series “Hart of Dixie” (2011-2015) and as Charles Mahoney in the TV series How to Get Away with Murder” (2016-2017), in addition to other roles he’s secured so far in his career.

Stephen Wilson Bethel was born on 24 February 1984, in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA, the son of writer and journalist Joyce Maynard – partly known for her relationship with famous author J.D. Salinger – and her husband, Steve Bethel.

The same year he was selected for the part of Corporal Evan ‘Q-Tip’ Stafford in the TV mini-series “Generation Kill”, which won three Primetime Emmy Awards, and covers the story about a Rolling Stone reporter sent with the 1st Recon Marines in the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003.

From 2016 to 2017, he was Charles Mahoney in the Primetime Emmy Award-winning TV mystery crime-drama series “How to Get Away with Murder”, which follows law students and their professor who all get involved in a murder plot that changes their lives.
In 2018, he joined the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “Daredevil”, about blind lawyer Matt Murdock and a vigilante who fights crime by night, and goes by the name Daredevil – Wilson portrayed the character Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter, created for the show as a mix of Bullseye and Nuke.
