Early life, family, and education

Timothy John Mowry hails from Miami, Florida USA, where he was raised by his parents. Born under the zodiac sign of Capricorn, on 4 January 1957, Timothy is aged 65 as of 2022. There’s nothing known about his parents, nor if he has any siblings, since he’s very private when it comes to his personal matters.

Speaking of his education, he attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1975, he didn’t go to college but joined the US Army.

US Army Career

Timothy was involved in sports from an early age, which helped him pass the necessary physical and mental tests. Soon after joining the army, Timothy became Sergeant First Class. In addition to administrative work, his task was also to lead the battalion.

After several years in the US Army, Timothy retired and moved with his family to California, where he served as a custody officer at the Glendale Police Department.

First marriage, divorce, and new wife

Timothy and Darlene Renee Flowers met in high school, where they fall in love and began dating. The two joined the army together, and married the same year of 1975, when they were both just 18 years old.

Timothy and Darlene served together in Germany, and there were born their twin daughters Tia and Tamera in 1978. Their third child, and first son Tahj, was born on 17 May 1986, in Honolulu, Hawaii, while their second son, Tavior was born on 5 July 1993, in Fort Irwin, California. After their fourth child was born, Darlene retired from the army and devoted her time to her family. Timothy also left the army, and the family continued living in California.

Timothy and Darlene divorced after 40 years of marriage,. For their children, this was quite shocking, and their divorce fell the hardest on Tamera, who in her 2019 interview for OK Magazine, claimed that she is still processing what happened.

However, Timothy and Darlene continued with their lives, and Timothy found new love with a woman whose name hasn’t been disclosed publicly, but it’s known that the two began dating sometime in 2020, which his daughter Tamera confirmed in her interview with Jeannie Mai. Tamera also added that she hasn’t met this woman yet.

As of November 2022, there is no information if Timothy and his girlfriend are married, or are still together.

She’s an actress with over 50 acting credits to her name and is still probably known best for her role as Tia Landry in the family comedy-drama “Sister, Sister”, also starring her twin sister Tamera.

The series followed the story of twin sisters who were separated at birth, and as teenagers they find out the truth and finally met each other. It aired from 1994 through 1999 and was one of the favorites among teenagers. “Sister, Sister” had 20 award nominations and won nine, including one Primetime Emmy Award.

Tia made her acting debut portraying Judith Ann Webb in an episode of the series “Dangerous Woman” in 1991. She followed with a few guest roles in various series before she was cast to play in “Sister, Sister”, which brought her numerous accolades, including three Kid’s Choice Awards, and the Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, among many others.
