Who is Taylor Tomlinson?
Taylor was born in Orange County, California USA, on 4 November 1993 – her zodiac sign’s Scorpio, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, film writer, producer, and comedienne, with two acting credits to her name, perhaps known best for having written and starred in the 2020 short comedy mini-series “New Couple Gets Quarantined”; it also starred Sam Morril, and follows a man and his new girlfriend who’ve been quarantined together because of the coronavirus.
Early life and education
Taylor was raised in Temecula, California alongside her three younger sisters Drea, Brinn and Page, by their mother Angela who died from cancer when Taylor was eight, and their father Eric who remarried a year later; not a lot else is known about Taylor’s family, as she respects their privacy.
She grew up being interested in both acting and comedy, and began appearing in school plays while attending Temecula Valley High School; she was a member of its comedy club, and occasionally performed for her friends.
Taylor was urged by her father and step-mother to focus on her education, and thus upon matriculating in 2012, she enrolled at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; the transferred to a college in San Diego a year later, so that she could be closer to stand-up comedy clubs. Taylor then transferred once again, this time to California State University San Marcos, from which she dropped out, wanting to focus solely on comedy.
She was 16 when her father convinced her to attend a stand-up class, and Taylor could then have been seen performing at coffee shops, school venues and in church basements.
The year 2015 saw her compete in the American reality talent competition show “Last Comic Standing”, placing 10th and attracting a lot of attention with her original jokes; she performed at the 2019 Just for Laughs Festival, and the magazine “Variety” ranked her amongst their top 10 comics to watch.
She’s performed comedy in many popular talk-shows, including “Conan” and “The Tonight Show”.
Taylor often jokes about her own mental health issues, and has shared with her fans that she’s been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, as well as that she’s often depressed.
