Tania Raymonde is an American actor, probably known best for her portrayal of Cynthia Sanders in the sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle”, and of Alex Rousseau in “Lost”. Apart from being a famous actress, she’s also a producer, writer, model, and an artist.

Tania Raymonde Helen Katz was born on 22 March 1988, in Los Angeles, California USA. Her mother, Ann-Marie Katz is French, while her father Jon Katz is American of Russian-Jewish descent. Ann-Marie is a real estate agent and urban planner, and Jon is an editor of a magazine.

Tania grew up Jewish and Catholic, celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah. Her mother attended synagogues and was willing to convert to Judaism, but ultimately didn’t change her religion. The actress doesn’t have any siblings.

Tania first appeared on the screen in 2000 when she played the role of Alice in an episode “Syd in Wonderland” in the TV series “Providence”, portraying the young self of the main character Dr. Sydney “Syd” Hansen. From 2000 to 2002, Tania gained wider recognition when she played the role of Cynthia in the American sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle”, appearing in four episodes in total.
