Who is Emeraude Toubia?
Emeraude Toubia was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 1 March 1989 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she now holds American nationality, as her parents moved to Brownsville, Texas USA not long after she was born. She’s an actress and film producer, with close to 20 acting credits to her name, while she’s probably known best for her portrayal of Isabelle Lightwood, one of the main characters in the action fantasy series “Shadowhunters”. It was created by Ed Decter, starred Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood and Alberto Rosende, and follows Clary whose mother’s just disappeared, and who’s now taken her place in the world of demon hunting; the series aired from 2016 to 2019, and won 13 of the 36 awards for which it was nominated.
Early life and education
Emeraude was raised in Brownsville by her Lebanese-American father, and her Mexican mother Mirta Sonia (nee Solis); not a lot is known about her parents, as she respects their privacy, but it’s said that Mirta was a factory worker, and that Emeraude’s father was a taxi driver. She’s an only child.
She grew up being interested mostly in dancing, and practiced classical ballet, lyrical dance, belly dance and flamenco. It was while attending Homer Hanna High School that she became interested in acting, appearing in various plays performed at the school. Emeraude also began modelling at the age of 15, and was then crowned Miss Teen Brownsville, Miss Rio Grande Valley America and Miss South Texas.
Upon matriculating in 2007, she chose not to pursue a college degree, but to focus on her career.
Roles in TV series
Ulla made her debut TV series appearance in the 2010 episode “Gran Lanzamiento” of the crime drama “Aurora”, then the year 2013 saw her play Elizabeth in 75 episodes of the family fantasy science fiction “11-11 En mi Cuadra Nada Cuaddra”.
In 2014, she played Stephanie Karam in 29 episodes of the romantic comedy drama “Voltea Pa’que te Enamores”, created by Nora Aleman, and which starred Marielena Davila, Pedro Moreno and Amanda Peter; it follows the lives of several couples.
In the same year, Emeraude starred as Dulce Rincon in the popular romantic drama “Cosita Linda”; the series also starred Christian Meier and Pedro Moreno, and follows two people who’ve fallen in love, while their friends and family are against their relationship.
Emeraude’s appeared in only two other TV series; she played Sloane Peterson in the 2020 episode “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” of the drama “Acting for a Cause”, and most recently, in 2021, she portrayed the lead character Lily Diaz in five episodes of the romantic comedy “With Love”, created by Gloria Calderon Kellett, and which also starred Mark Indelicato and Isis King. It follows the lives of siblings Jorge and Lily Diaz, who are trying to find love and purpose in their lives; the series was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New TV Series.
Roles in movies
Emeraude made her debut film appearance in the 2015 action drama “Tattooed Love”, written and directed by Alejandro Antonio and Alberto Portillo, and in which she starred alongside Edy Ganem and Laura Flannery. It follows the life of Yesenia, leader of a secret VIP Party Service.
She played Alan in the 2019 romantic drama “Love in the Sun”, and then starred as Rosalinda in the eponymous 2020 short drama.
Emeraude’s appeared in only one other movie: she played the main character Belinda Sawyer in the popular 2021 family comedy drama “Holiday in Santa Fe”, directed by Jody Margolin Hahn, and which also starred Mario Lopez and Aimee Garcia. It follows an executive who’s flown to Santa Fe to buy a family company, which produces traditional Mexican Christmas ornaments.
I appear in the new Lifetime movie “Holiday In Santa Fe”, premiering this Friday, December 10. It stars Mario Lopez and Emeraude Toubia. FYI, I have an important part but don’t come on until near the end of the film.

Emeraude’s today shooting for two upcoming movies: the drama “Ballad of a Hustler” and the comedy “Like It Used to Be”.

Emeraude could’ve been seen featured in a couple of TV specials and documentaries, such as “Premios Juventud” and “Teens Wanna Know” in 2015, and the 2016 “Radio Sidney Music Awards”.
She produced the 2021 movie “Holiday in Santa Fe”.
Emeraude’s made a guest appearance in a number of talk-shows, most recently in “Celebrity Page”, “Home & Family” and “Hollywood First Look Features”.

She was nominated for two Teen Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017 and 2018, both for her performance in “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”.
Love life and husband
Emeraude’s quite secretive when it comes to sharing the details of her love life with the public, but has still allowed her fans to have a glimpse into it. In 2011, she met American singer Geoffrey Royce Rojas, known better by his professional name Prince Royce, and the two exchanged vows on 30 November 2018, in a private ceremony held in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; they revealed that they were divorcing in March 2022.
Emeraude hasn’t mentioned any other men (or women) whom she’s perhaps been with, but there are rumors circulating the internet, claiming that she’s today dating a fellow actor; no evidence has been provided to support these claims, nor has Emeraude addressed these rumors.
As of July 2022, Emeraude seems to be single, has until recently been married to Prince Royce, and she doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Emeraude seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her more than three million Instagram followers, and is thus highly active on the network; she’s uploaded more than 1,000 pictures, the majority of which feature her during her everyday life.
She’s physically highly active, and has a couple of training sessions at the gym every week, thus her slim figure, mostly working out because it’s important for her acting career to stay in shape.
She’s a huge lover of animals; her favorites are horses, and she’s an avid horseback rider.
Emeraude’s passionate about travelling, and enjoys staying at natural locations wherever she goes; her dream travel destination is Ljubljana, Slovenia.
She’s into watching movies in her spare time – her favorite actor and actress are Richard Gere and Emma Watson, while a couple of her favorite movies include “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”, “Unfaithful”, and “Pretty Woman”.
