Her mother threw her out of the house when she learned that Cardi B worked as a stripper in a local club, as Cardi had told her mother that she worked as a babysitter. Cardi later stated that working as a stripper helped her a lot, providing her with a home and the education she needed, as she didn’t want to live in an abusive household.
She started her career on Vine, and later became an Instagram star. In 2015 she joined the cast of the reality TV show “Love & Hip Hop: New York”.
