Who is Austin Swift?

Austin Kingsley Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania USA, on 11 March 1992 – his zodiac sign is Pisces, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor and film producer, with eight acting credits to his name, probably known best for his portrayal of Kirk in the 2018 musical mystery thriller movie “Cover Versions”. It was written and directed by Todd Berger, starred Katie Cassidy, Drake Bell and Jerry Trainor, and follows four members of a band as they’re talking about sex, drugs and crime right before their first performance at a music festival.

Austin’s also known for being the younger brother of famous American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.

Early life and education

Austin was raised alongside his sister Taylor in West Reading, by their mother Andrea Gardner Swift (nee Finlay) who’s a housewife and former marketing executive, and their father Scott Kingsley Swift who works at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. Austin’s maternal grandmother Marjorie Finlay was a famous American opera singer and TV personality.

He moved with his family to Hendersonville, Tennessee when he was around six years old, where he attended a local elementary school there. Austin became interested in acting when he was about 12 years old, when his drama teacher asked him if he wanted to appear in a school play.

Austin began thinking about becoming a professional actor while attending high school, however, he was urged by his parents to focus on his education, and pursue acting only after he had graduated. Taking his parents’ advice, Austin enrolled at the University of Notre Dame upon matriculating in 2011, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2015.

Roles in movies

Austin’s debut film role was his portrayal of Lance in the 2016 mystery crime drama “I. T.”, directed by John Moore, and which starred Pierce Brosnan, Jason Barry and Karen Moskow. It follows a millionaire who’s just fired his I.T. consultant, while this action is now threatening to turn his life upside down.

Austin played Mayweather in the critically acclaimed 2016 action thriller “Live by Night”, written and directed by Ben Affleck, who also starred in it alongside Elle Fanning and Brendan Gleeson. It follows a group of gangsters who’ve opened a shop in Florida during the Prohibition, and the movie was nominated for three awards.

Austin portrayed Ivan in the 2019 musical horror thriller “We Summon the Darkness”, directed by Marc Meyers, and which starred Alexandra Daddario, Keean Johnson and Maddie Hasson. It tells the story of three friends on a road trip to a musical show, and the movie won two of the three awards for which it was nominated.

Roles in TV series

Austin’s appeared in only two TV series; he played Colin in the 2017 episodes “Exodus” and “Dreams” of the comedy “Embeds”, created by Scott Conroy, and which starred Kelsey Asbille, Taylor Zakhar Perez and Max Ehrich. It follows five young adults who’ve just graduated from college, and have begun working as reporters for different national news channels; the series was cancelled after having aired six episodes.

Austin player Tyler in the 2017 episode “Showcase Showdown” of the comedy “Still the King”, created by Billy Ray Cyrus and Travis Nicholson, who also starred in it; it follows former country singer Vernon Brownmule who’s hit a church sign while driving intoxicated, and has now been sentenced to work as the church’s handyman.

Other credits

Austin has four producing credits. He made his debut with the 2019 movie “We Summon the Darkness”, while he’s since produced the 2020 musical documentary movie “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions”, and in 2021 the music video “Taylor Swift: I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version)” and the  science fiction film “I Am Mortal”.

Hope you guys are staying safe and doing all right. In case you’re looking for something to watch, We Summon the Darkness, a film I co-produced and acted in, is out and available for download tomorrow

Love life and relationships

Austin prefers to keep the details of his love life to himself, and hasn’t mentioned any women (or men) whom he’s perhaps been with. This is probably why there are today various rumors circulating the internet, most of which concern Austin’s sexual orientation.

Many of his fans believe him to be gay, claiming this to be why he hasn’t spoken of the women whom he’s dated; a fan has also claimed to have seen Austin kissing his boyfriend at a nightclub in Los Angeles, but no evidence’s been provided to support these claims, nor has Austin addressed the rumors.

There are also those who believe that he’s today in a long-term relationship with his college sweetheart, but that he prefers to keep her away from the media’s attention; this hasn’t been confirmed either.

As of July 2022, Austin seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
